First things first… I sprayed the whole thing with insecticide… just to be safe! & I then left it in the garage with the door cracked so it can ventilate for like 24 hrs. Hey, I don't know where this thing has been! Now moving on to the sanitation process: I vacuumed using the hose attachment to rid any dirt, dust or debris. Next, I whisked an environmentally-safe concoction (courtesy of Pinterest) made with warm water, vinegar and dish soap until it became foamy. I scrubbed away, covering its entirety in suds and then used a rag to wipe the bubbles and lift any dirt. Once it was dry, I sprinkled oxy-clean powder everywhere and let it sit for an hour or so. Then for the grand finale, I vacuumed it clean again & brought it into the "woman cave" aka the basement for the fun part… PAINTING!...
