Di Abruzzo Italian Market is family owned and operated by a second generation Italian American. The family is from the Abruzzo region of Italy and his Grandfather, which is his name sake, Giacomo, came to America in 1927 through Ellis Island and settled in Philadelphia with his Grandmother and was a Tailor until his passing. He has been making his family's recipes since he was a young boy growing up watching and helping his grandmother and mother every Sunday. The family has lived in the area for the majority of 28 years with brief departures to New Orleans and NJ for business and returned to the place they love.
