DOULALA YOGA

After leaving the suburbs of Chicago where she was born and raised,Aliza spent some time traveling through Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas, and Kentucky while living in a trailer and teaching yoga. She now lives outside of Madison, WI and is thoroughly enjoying all the cheese... Aliza took her first yoga class in the frigid Chicago winter of 2005. It was a hot class at Niyama Yoga in Wilmette, and she was immediately hooked! She mainly enjoyed the tropical indoor temperatures while icicles formed on the windowpanes outside. Aliza stuck with the hot format for close to a decade, eventually moving to Bikram but surprisingly didn't do a single down dog until many years later while living in New York. This opened her eyes to a whole new world of possibility (and flexibility!)...
