Brianna George

(2022-Present) I received my Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from St. Francis Xavier University and subsequently pursued my Master's in Counselling Psychology. Currently, I am completing my Master's in Experimental Psychology with a research concentration in Health and Wellness at Memorial University. Under the supervision of Dr. Sheila Garland, my thesis will examine the interactions between physical activity and insomnia in cancer patients. After completion of my Master's Degree, I plan to pursue doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology.

Bryanna Boland

(2016-Present) I am currently completing a Bachelor of Science with a major in psychology. I am working under Dr. Garland in the Sleep, Health, and Wellness Lab to gain experience in a lab setting. I would like to work towards a PhD in comparative psychology.

Dr. Sheila N. Garland

Dr. Sheila Garland is a Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychology and Oncology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dr. Garland conducts psycho-oncology and behavioral sleep medicine research with an increasing emphasis on examining the mechanisms and effectiveness of interventions to improve sleep and other symptoms in cancer survivors.

Joshua Tulk

I received my Bachelor of Science (Honours) from Memorial University. My thesis involved examining the differences in the psychosocial and financial wellbeing between rural and urban young adult (age 15-39 year olds) cancer survivors. I am excited to work as the Research Coordinator for the Sleep, Health, and Wellness Lab. My future goals are to work in rural health care.

Krista Greeley

(2022-Present) I received my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Memorial University with a focus area in cognition. I am currently completing my Master's in Experimental Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Sheila Garland. After my Master's, I intend to pursue doctoral studies with a focus in Clinical Psychology.

Rachel Howells

(2020 - Present) I am currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and I am working as a summer student in the lab. This summer, I will be examining relationships between sleep and physical and mental health. I hope to pursue future studies in Clinical Psychology, and I am very excited to be gaining experience with clinical research in this lab setting.

Rachel Lee

(2021-Present) I received my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Memorial University. I am currently completing a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Garland, and my thesis will focus on cancer survivors' use of cannabis to help treat insomnia. I intend to pursue doctoral studies in clinical psychology after my Master's degree.
