JOHN R. DIXON, was born in Tampa, Florida. He graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in English and attended Florida State University Law School where he served as an Associate Editor of the Law Review. He was admitted to practice law in Florida in 1992 and has also been admitted to practice in the Middle District of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Dixon has been engaged in the practice of workers' compensation defense, insurance defense and estate planning for over 24 years. In 1998 Mr. Dixon opened Dixon, Lefler & Lorenzen to focus on workers' compensation defense. Since that time, the firm's clients have included the State of Florida, Liberty Mutual, CNA, the Hillsborough County School Board, Crawford & Company, Broadspire, Frank Winston Crum Insurance and Polk County. In 2004, Mr. Dixon's partner, Ellen Lorenzen, was selected to serve as a Judge of Compensation Claims in Tampa. In 2003, Mr. Dixon was elected to the Board of Directors of Frank Winston Crum Insurance and continues to serve in that capacity today. Frank Winston Crum Insurance provides workers' compensation and other liability coverage to clients throughout Florida. They are located in Clearwater, Florida. Mr. Dixon is currently the Managing Attorney at Dixon & Associates. His practice includes Estate Planning, Wills, Trusts, Probate and Workers' Compensation cases throughout the State of Florida.
