FIRST teams are assigned their team number in the order that they join the FRC(First Robotics Competition) program. It has been a source of school pride since Pierson High School joined FRC in 1995 as Team 28, one out of more than 7,300 teams. Over the years, the Sag Harbor program had been recognized for various achievements including Regional Finalist, Regional Champion, Engineering and Inspiration, the Judges Award, Safety, and Creativity Entrepreneurship... Pierson Robotics Team 28 encourages students to pursue education and careers in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) related fields, inspire them to become leaders and innovators as well as enhance their 21st century work-life skills.
