GARDEN OF CHANGE's mission is to offer agreed upon best practices guidelines to help everyone do better work within the limitations of budget, but still effectively meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation ( MCoP) Guidelines. Very large hospices (say with a census of more than 200) commonly have dedicated psycho-social bereavement departments because with a census like that you can scale pro-bono services a lot easier. But when we are up against grief, we need all the tools at our disposal... People who have lost a loved one are hurting, and it is important to support them with a program that is well-made, and proactive. Yet it can still be cost effective.
