GENIDA

The Global Engagement Network on Internal Displacement in Africa (GENIDA) is an international collaborative project on internal displacement. The GENIDA Project is the first of its kind in Africa. It is a network geared towards the protection of internally displaced persons in Africa. GENIDA seeks to advance sustainable solutions while also bridging the gap between research and policy responses. GENIDA provides a useful platform for critical engagement on solutions to the issue of internal displacement, an issue that affects more than 12 million people in Africa... The project is an international collaboration between the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria, South Africa, and the Refugee Law Initiative at School of Advanced Study, University of London, United Kingdom. GENIDA is supported by the UK Research and Innovation through its Global Challenges Research Fund.
