Located near Lake Merritt in Oakland, Highland Hospital first opened its doors in 1927, and our ACGME-accredited residency program began in 1955. In 2013, Highland Hospital became part of Alameda Health System (formerly Alameda County Medical Center), an integrated public health care system of five hospitals and four wellness centers.
