Jamii is a nonprofit organization founded by two medical doctors who have witnessed low socioeconomic communities suffer from inefficient personal healthcare which primarily is due poor medical illiteracy and general health awareness. We have seen the impact that this has imposed on the individuals from these low socioeconomic communities... Our mission is to improve the quality of healthcare in the low socioeconomic communities in both the united states and Africa through improving medical literacy and awareness. This medical literacy is focused on general health screenings such as diabetes, hypertension and age-appropriate-screenings.
