A medical ethicist by training, Julie has worked for over thirty years with professional associations, public bodies and healthcare regulators. With a legal, academic, and policy background, her training, consultancy and research is incisive, informed and authoritative. She has held senior academic and Visiting Professor posts in the UK and abroad, training pre-and post-qualification health and social care professionals. With an extensive portfolio of national policy advisory roles and Secretary of State appointments, Julie's advice is ethically aspirational, whilst politically realistic. A former commissioner of NHS services, Julie helps individuals and organisations to identify their ethical underpinnings, and to embed professionalism through enhanced policies and practices.
