We are a Radio Station that broadcasts to the patients, doctors and nurses in the Hospital as well as on the internet. Being in hospital can be a bit bewildering and sometimes lonely, so we at Kingston Hospital Radio sincerely hope that we can help to make your stay a more positive and uplifting experience... Kingston Hospital Radio first took to the airwaves back in 1957. In those days it was a simpler affair, with a couple of record decks and a microphone, but as technology has progressed we have gone through the CD era and the station is now run using the Myriad computer play out system. As a result, we offer a very professional sounding radio station. More to the point, it is your radio station - aimed at playing songs for you... Research has shown that listening to music greatly benefits anyone who is feeling unwell, so we hope that we can help on that score and keep on doing it for many years to come.
