LIOR ARBEL

I am an electrical engineer, designer and musician. I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher at Laboratoire d'Acoustique de... supported by the Chateaubriand Fellowship, awarded by the French embassy in Israel. In my post-doc research I study and develop modular musical instruments for sound design prototyping. I graduated with a PhD from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology at the Faculty of Architecture/Industrial Design graduate program, supervised by Prof. Yoav Schechner (Technion) and Dr. Noam Amir (Tel-Aviv University). The Technion is also where I got my BSc in electrical engineering. After my PhD I did a short post-doc at Ben Gurion University/Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, in Prof. Boaz Rafaely's Acoustics Lab, where I researched spatial audio in collaboration with Facebook Reality Labs at Redmond, Washington.
