MARIA L

I am a Pattern Cutter/ Garment Technologist with a background as a telecommunication engineer and an MA in Pattern & Garment Technology at University of the Arts London. From my experience in high-end RTW and bespoke fashion (as studio manager, designer and creative pattern cutter) I gained a strong knowledge of garment construction and the whole development and sampling process. I have special interest in how digital technologies can be applied in pattern cutting and 3D sampling. I developed some software for automatic pattern generation and I am working on some projects that involve coding, 3D printing and fabric manipulation. I currently work as a professor at IED Madrid and as a freelance consultant for fashion and tech companies.
