MISSION ICU

Mission ICU is a citizen led initiative powered by CHD Group and is supported by a group of volunteer professionals from across the country. Mission ICU is building capacity in small towns and rural areas by setting up ten bed ICUs, so that we are better prepared for future pandemics in a sustainable manner. The initiative was conceived by Dr.Ashwin Naik, Maanoj Shah and Dr.Edmond Fernandes and in the last 30 days has mobilised support from various CSR organisations, foundations and private donors to rapidly scale up ICU setup in the rural areas... Mission ICU is non-profit project which emerged in the peak of the second wave of COVID-19 with a focus on ventilating under-resourced rural hospitals. We recently launched our ICU mapping project to measure resource deficiency in government hospitals. Mission ICU has installed 110 ICU beds across 11 locations covering 4 states in a span of one year. The project has been recognised by the World Economic Forum, Business Standard, Livemint,..
