Our Purpose: Educating individuals in Georgia about mental illness in order to improve resources, services and knowledge by reducing misinformation and stigma that is often times associated with mental illness... We understand that communities present with their own unique challenges and triumphs. It is the triumphs that fuels my commitment to serve as the affiliate president. During the holiday season we have a couple of asks: open board seats must be filled to move the vison forward; more individuals must make a commitment to step up and become trained in the NAMI Signature Programs. Lastly those impacted by mental illness must become active so our community; this affiliate is able to operate in abundance that is overflowing.
