The Pacific Grove Hyperbaric Chamber is able to operate in the community because of our partnerships with generous individuals and partner organizations. We cannot do our live saving work without these supportive partners... The Pacific Grove Hyperbaric Chamber is run solely by on call volunteers during emergencies. Our volunteer staff includes medical doctors (MDs), registered nurses (RNs), respiratory therapists (RRTs), dive medical technicians (DMTs), emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and other trained personnel. Our MDs are trained to national standards set by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Our crew is trained to the national standards of National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT). Patients needing treatment for diving emergencies must be referred to the facility by a physician, so it is important to alert 9-1-1 or Divers Alert Network (DAN) when dealing with diving and..
