Anthony Hunter - CFO

As an experienced financial executive, Anthony leads the accounting, finance, and human resources teams at Real Time Medical Systems (Real Time). As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Anthony is responsible for both the long-term and day-to-day financial management for Real Time, including financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, tax and regulatory compliance, benefits administration, and risk management. Before joining Real Time, Anthony was the founder of Capstone Business Advisors LLC, providing CFO and financial due diligence services to growth companies in the SaaS, Marketing, and Services Industries. He also served as the CFO of ArisGlobal, a pharmacovigilance and regulatory SaaS company serving the pharmaceutical industry. During his tenure at both Capstone and ArisGlobal, Anthony worked extensively with venture capital and other funding efforts, banking relationships, product and pricing strategies, process improvements, team building and helping to scale for growth and profitability. Anthony is a Certified Management Account (CMA) and holds a Bachelor of Administration degree in Management Accounting from Pace University.

Barry Freedman

Leveraging his proven track record working with two of the country's most prestigious healthcare systems, Freedman advises Real Time on advanced care collaboration between health systems and their post-acute networks to improve transitions of care, enhance population health, reduce total cost of care, and achieve post-acute interoperability. He has worked in the healthcare industry for 50 years, including executive leadership roles as President and CEO of Mount Sinai Hospital and most notably as Philadelphia's longest-serving health system president and CEO at Einstein Healthcare Network. During his nearly five-decade career, Freedman oversaw rehabilitation facilities, outpatient centers, several expansion projects, hospital acquisitions, and construction of two new hospitals. Renowned for his proven leadership and innovative strategic approach to healthcare management, Freedman was recognized by Becker's Hospital Review as a Top CEO to Know and was named CEO of the Year by Philadelphia Business Journal. He has served on the Board of Directors with leading healthcare organizations including the Greater New York Hospital Association, Hospital Association of Pennsylvania, The Healthcare Institute, America's Essential Hospitals, and Premier, Inc., among others. He has a Master of Business Administration from City University of New York/Baruch College, Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin.

Christopher Miller - CTO

Christopher brings over 20 years of healthcare technology experience to Real Time, enabling the Interventional Analytics company to deliver robust and advanced analytics. In 2014, Christopher joined forces with Dr. Scott Rifkin to figure out a way to easily access and analyze data from resident EHRs to highlight potential issues and effectively aid in the treatment of patients. In addition to helping with the concept, Christopher designed a DSL to automatically scale and distribute healthcare financial and clinical algorithms - and Real Time was born. Knowledgeable in many platforms and technologies, and someone who listens to client needs, today Christopher's innovation supports the continued development and implementation of the Real Time suite of products. His experience and vast knowledge as a product management executive keeps new offerings on track and ahead of trends in the market. Christopher has authored several books and published technical articles on various related topics and was a finalist for Best Product Development or Engineering Executive in the 2003 Stevie Awards. Christopher holds a Masters in IT management (MSIT) from Carnegie Mellon, a BS in Business from Pensacola Christian College, and is a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon CIO Institute.

Diana Smalley

Rooted in her training as a nurse, Smalley is dedicated to improving both the patient and provider experience. Balancing her deep understanding of patient-driven health and operational innovations, she advises Real Time on helping acute care systems achieve post-acute interoperability to improve the quality of care and enhance care coordination across the delivery system. Smalley has more than 30 years of senior-level executive experience. As Regional President of Mercy Oklahoma, she oversaw 15 hospitals and more than 100 clinics. She also served in various leadership roles with Alegent Health where she co-founded Avantas, a nationally recognized company for proven best-practice work strategies for the healthcare industry. She is an active fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) where she served as chairman, chairman-elect, and immediate past chairman. Acknowledged for her contributions in advancing care delivery, Smalley received ACHE's highest honor, the Gold Medal Award, which identifies ACHE fellows who exemplify leadership at the organizational, local, state, and national levels while improving healthcare services and community health beyond their organization. She holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Midland Lutheran College, Fremont, Nebraska. Smalley is a graduate of the Nebraska Methodist School of Nursing in Omaha.

Dr. Steven Stein

With an extraordinary career entrenched in care management, Dr. Steven Stein's vast knowledge of both the post-acute and payor markets guide the clinical advancements of Real Time Medical System's Interventional Analytics platform for post-acute providers, health systems, ACOs, physician groups, and managed care organizations. As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Stein draws upon his innovative successes to continually shape and refine solution offerings to advance care management across the continuum. Prior to joining Real Time, Dr. Stein held Chief Medical Officer positions at both Trinity Health Continuing Care and UnitedHealthcare, leveraging his expertise in population health, strategic planning, managed care, and high-risk patient program development to improve care outcomes. While at Trinity Health, Dr. Stein served as the clinical lead for the Bundled Payment Care Improvement Model 3 program. In that role, he helped Trinity Health achieve readmission and length of stay reductions in Trinity Health's skilled nursing facilities that led to costs that were $5 million less for the served population than what CMS expected. Dr. Stein also proudly served on the White House Council on Aging for both the Clinton and Obama administrations. Dr. Stein received his B.A. from Columbia, his M.D. from Cornell, a Master's in Health Services Administration from the Harvard University School of Public Health, and did a geriatric fellowship at Harvard Medical School, where he subsequently served on the faculty. Dr. Stein is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatrics.

Jim Staska

As the Senior Vice President of Sales, Jim has over 15 years of experience leading highly successful and strategic sales teams within healthcare technology. In his role, Jim oversees all growth initiatives for the company, including revenue growth, go-to-market strategy, staff development, and customer retention. During Jim's tenure, Real Time has evolved from the leading post-acute analytics technology to a value-based care interoperability solution. Prior to joining Real Time, Jim led teams on advanced/prescriptive analytics solutions within the acute care market. Jim also served as the Managing Director of Healthcare Business Insights, where he successfully launched the Information Technology Academy, a best practice organization providing acute care IT leadership with tools and data to address today's complex healthcare issues. Jim's ability to create, lead, and scale ultimately led to Healthcare Business Insights being acquired by Decision Resources Group (later acquired by Clarivate). Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business: Information Technology from University of Wisconsin-Stout and served as a membership chair on HFMA Wisconsin.

Joan P. Neuscheler - CEO

Joan has more than 25 years of experience as a healthcare industry executive in operations and financial management, private equity investment, fund raising, and strategic guidance. Joan also serves as CFO of Five Star Physician Services, LLC, a post-acute and long-term care medical practice and management company and Founder/Partner of Aura Equity Partners, LLC, a healthcare advisory firm. Prior to forming Aura Equity Partners, Joan spent 19 years as a General Partner of multiple healthcare venture capital (VC) funds. Joan also served as President and CFO of the VC management company. During this time, Joan led multiple investments in over fifteen portfolio companies through various stages of development, including start-ups and mature companies, guiding companies through mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and business turnarounds. She also provided operational, financial, and strategic planning advice to achieve successful financings and exits. Joan's board and investment experience includes: Adams Respiratory Therapeutics, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company that developed the Mucinex® brand; Quadramed, Inc., offering software and service solutions for healthcare enterprises; and IntelliClaim, Inc., a company delivering claims performance improvement, regulatory compliance services and IT products to healthcare payers. Joan currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Real Time Medical Systems, LLC, Five Star Physician Services, LLC; Provider Partners Health Plan, Inc., a Medicare Advantage HMO plan for long-term care residents and Trophikos, Inc., a clinically supported nutritional supplement company. Joan earned a BBA and MBA from Pace University.

Laurie Obitz - COO

As an experienced healthcare IT leader, Laurie oversees Real Time Medical Systems implementation, customer account management, and the overall operations of the company. Using a team-based approach to management and customer service, she is responsible for developing and growing operational processes that improve the Real Time user experience. Her expertise in these areas support the efficient and successful implementation of Interventional Analytics and promotes exemplary customer service to all Real Time clients.  Drawing upon her previous leadership roles at Mid-Atlantic Healthcare and Mercy Health Services, Laurie understands the IT infrastructure, resource constraints and technical complexities in health systems to better support the challenges and demands facing Real Time clients. Laurie earned a Master of Science in Information Systems from University of Maryland Baltimore County and a BBA from James Madison University in Finance and Operations Management. She is also a certified project management professional (PMP). 

Michael Wylie

Recognized for his operational expertise and patient advocacy, Wylie has more than 40 years of experience in the long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC) industry, managing day-to-day operations and providing executive oversight for multiple facilities. With first-hand knowledge of the complexities LTPAC operators face today, his invaluable insights help drive Real Time's post-acute solutions to address some of their most pressing concerns to improve clinical outcomes, meet regulatory requirements, ease administrative burdens, and demonstrate value to their acute care partners. Starting his long-term care career as an activities director 40 years ago, Wylie found his calling as an advocate for staff and residents alike. He earned several promotions before joining Genesis HealthCare in 1986 where he has held critical operational and development positions such as Senior Administrator and Regional Director of Operations in addition to his current role as Vice President of Development. He was elected Chairman of the Board of Governors of the American Health Care Association (2017-2019) and remains an Executive Committee Member today. He is also the current PAC Chairman of the Pennsylvania Health Care Association, an association he has worked with for 30 years. Wylie attended St. Francis College and Montgomery County Community College and is licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator both in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

Nancy Cocozza

Recognized as a highly esteemed leader within the healthcare industry, Cocozza has over 30 years of extensive payer side experience, through the evolution of Managed Care, quality-based reimbursement systems, risk-bearing payer/provider partnerships and the growth of Government Programs. With her vast experience within the payer market, she advises Real Time on product enhancements in helping payers work more collaboratively with their post-acute network to achieve value-based initiatives. Cocozza has held a multitude of leadership positions amongst respected healthcare companies and swiftly rose to executive leadership positions at prominent health plan organizations where she served more than 4 million Medicare members nationwide through a robust portfolio of Medicare Advantage plans, prescription drug plans, and Medicare Supplement plans. During her most recent role as the Head of Medicare, Senior Vice President with Aetna, she led the business to outperform industry growth trends each year and achieved the highest percentage of members in 4 and 4+ star rated plans in the last 4 of 5 years of her tenure. Cocozza has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Philadelphia University and currently serves as a board member for Privia Health Group and Wider Circle, as well as multiple advisory boards focused on healthcare accessibility and equity, for our nation's vulnerable, older Americans.

Pamela McKenzie Williams

Pamela McKenzie Williams is Vice President of SunBridge Capital Management where she is responsible for management of acquisitions and investments. Since 1995, Ms. Williams has worked across the portfolio of Bainum family investments, including but not limited to, Sunburst Hospitality Corporation, Choice Hotels (NYSE: CHH), and Realty Investment Company. In addition to her role at SunBridge, Ms. Williams is the CEO and President of Sunburst Hospitality and the Vice President and General Counsel of Realty Investment Company. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Williams was an associate at Hogan & Hartson, LLC (currently known as Hogan Lovells) concentrating her practice in bankruptcy and real estate development and acquisitions. Ms. Williams currently serves on the boards of Sunsure Assurance, Inc., a South Carolina Captive Insurance Company, Sunburst Hospitality Corporation, and Peaceable Street Capital. Ms. Williams holds a Juris Doctorate and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jurisprudence from the University of Baltimore.

Phyllis Wojtusik

As Executive Vice President, Health Systems for Real Time Medical Systems, Phyllis draws on years of experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care, ambulatory care, and post-acute care to bring vital input and client-side perspective into the development of Real Time's Interventional Analytics solutions. A true expert in the field of long-term care, Phyllis is also an integral part of Real Time's coordinated care effort, working to bring skilled nursing facilities and hospitals/health systems together for the benefit of the resident/patient. With extensive experience as a nurse, nurse manager, and case manager in both hospital and geriatric practice settings, Phyllis understands the responsibility and challenges of each position first-hand - and uses her keen ability to relate to those on the front line to enhance Real Time's offerings. She further shares her expertise and insights by hosting webinars, workshops and speaking engagements on behalf of Real Time, discussing value-based programs, transitions of care, care coordination, and post-acute network development and management. Phyllis holds degrees in nursing and science from Lancaster General School of Nursing and Franklin and Marsha ll College.

Scott Rifkin - Chairman, Founder

A recognized entrepreneur and innovator in healthcare, Scott has more than 25 years of experience as a physician and healthcare executive. In addition to founding and serving as Executive Chairman of Real Time Medical Systems, Scott was founder and managing partner of Mid-Atlantic Health Care, LLC (MAHC) from 2003- 2017. MAHC owned and operated 21 skilled nursing centers (4000 beds) in Maryland and Pennsylvania. MAHC was a national leader in developing risk-based care models. The company had revenues of approximately $400 million annually and was sold at 200% of acquisition cost in 2017. Scott is also Founder and Chairman of the Board of Provider Partners Health Plan, Inc. (PPHP). PPHP creates and operates Advantage plans known as Institutional Special Needs Plans (ISNPs) in Maryland and PA; and Five Star Physician Services, LLC which provides high quality medical providers to post-acute and long-term care facilities. Scott was Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Mid-Atlantic Region) in 2017. Scott is a graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and George Washington University School of Medicine.

Thomas P. Dickerson

Tom, the Vice Chairman and Secretary of Real Time, began his career in 1974 as a corporate attorney with Coudert Brothers, a New York law firm. In 1981 he became a health care investment banker, first at Lehman Brothers from 1980 to 1985, and then at E.F. Hutton where he was named co-head of the health care investment banking group in 1986. In 1988, Mr. Dickerson joined Tullis-Dickerson & Co., Inc., a Greenwich, CT - based health care venture capital firm, and from 1990 until 2009 served as Chairman. The firm managed in excess of $350 million, investing in over 50 portfolio companies in all sectors of the health care industry. Tom is a member of the Board of Directors of Five Star Physician Services, a post-acute and long-term care medical practice and management company, and Provider Partners Health Plan, Inc., a Medicare Advantage HMO plan for long-term care residents. From 2008 to 2014, Tom was the chairman of United World College-USA, an international secondary school based in New Mexico, as well as a director of United World Colleges International from 2011 - 2014. Tom earned his B.A. cum laude in economics from Harvard College in 1971, his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1974, and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1979.

Timothy Buono

As an experienced healthcare executive, Tim has spent over 30 years engaged in strategy, investment, and corporate development within the healthcare services and technology-enabled sectors. In his role as Executive Vice President, Tim will draw upon his industry experience to guide the organization's corporate development initiatives and growth strategies among acute, post-acute, and payer markets. Prior to joining Real Time, Tim held key leadership positions at prominent healthcare organizations including his most recent position with U.S. Renal Care, where he served as the Chief Development Officer - Dialysis. Additionally, Tim had spent several years with Surgical Care Affiliates, which became part of OptumHealth (part of Optum and United Health Group) as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, managing growth and investment transactions related to physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, and related provider organizations. Prior to SCA/Optum, Tim was responsible for business development and health plan strategy at CVS/MinuteClinic, the provider arm of CVS/Health. Tim holds a BA in Economics from Connecticut College and attended the Executive MBA Program at Columbia University.
