If you asked Romy & Natasha (The husband & wife team behind Romy's) where they saw themselves in the next 5 years when they decided to purchase the restaurant in downtown Aurora back in 2017, they definitely wouldn't have said getting back on their feet after a surviving a pandemic. With only opening in July 2019, they were faced with some tough challenges when the world closed down in March 2020. Pivoting to an only take out model proved successful as people were looking for something more than just fast food amidst the vast amount of traditional take out options already available. Keeping true to their values, consistency and quality, they navigated through some of the darkest days of the pandemic while providing delicious and comforting meals to their loyal and new customer base.
