Prior to Augusta Columbia, he was an Analyst in the Technology Group at Harris Williams & Co., where he focused on M&A advisory for software and services companies.

Anant is an Associate at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Anant was an Associate at Everstone Capital, where he focused on investments within healthcare and consumer sectors in India. Today, Carlos is the Founder and CEO of Uniply (formerly COMPAS), a Playbook Platform that empowers companies to execute and amplify their best with confidence. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of four leading B2B SaaS companies. Last, Mr. Ramon is a regular guest speaker at YPO, Vistage and Stanford Business School events on the importance of leading as a globapreneur.

Chitra Balasubramanian is an Executive Advisor to Riverwood Capital where she serves as a part-time consultant for the firm and its portfolio. She is also Chief Financial Officer at CircleCI, where she is responsible for overseeing the organization's Finance and People functions. Chitra has been a key partner to the CEO across multiple rounds of fundraising, having raised nearly $200m in capital from leading investment firms. Prior to CircleCI, Chitra most recently led strategy and global financial operations for RetailNext, the leader in comprehensive in-store analytics. Prior to RetailNext, Chitra has held leadership roles at BlackHawk Network in its Financial Planning and Analysis team and has been a technology investment banker at Lehman Brothers.

Chris Varelas is a Co-founding Partner of Riverwood Capital. Prior to establishing Riverwood, Chris worked at Salomon Brothers/Citi as Global Head of Technology, Media & Telecom Investment Banking, Head of Citi's National Investment Bank, member of Citi's Global Operating Committee and Culture Czar for all of Citi. Chris was selected as one of the 100 most important deal makers by the New York Times and was named top "rainmaker' in the technology sector by Dealmaker Magazine.
Chris earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Business and a BA from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California for which he serves on the Board of Trustees. In roles from Founder/CEO of a security startup to General Manager of both mid- and large-size business units, he has broad exposure to both product and GTM across security, cloud/SaaS, data analytics, and networking. In his current operating role, Dave is Vice President of Security at Sumo Logic where he leads the development and GTM of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions which solve the emerging challenges of cloud and modern application architectures.
Dave holds an M.S. Electrical Engineering, M.S. Engineering Management, and a B.S. Electrical Engineering all from Stanford University. Outside of work he enjoys traveling with his wife and three children, fitness, ice climbing, and mountain biking.

Dr. Sharat Sinha is an Executive Advisor to Riverwood Capital where he serves as a part-time consultant for the firm and its portfolio. He is also the Vice President and General Manager for the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APAC) region at Check Point Software Technologies. In this role he has responsibility to grow Check Point's APAC business through adoption and deployment of the state-of-the-art cyber security solutions. Prior to Check Point, Sharat was at VMware, where he led their Commercial and Partner Business, as Vice-President for the Asia-Pacific and Japan region. In addition, he has held leadership positions at Palo Alto Networks, as Theatre VP for the APAC, and at Cisco, as the Managing Director for Cloud and Enterprise Managed Services.
Sharat holds a Doctorate in Business Management from the University of South Australia and has a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering. He also holds a Postgraduate degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
Eric Ma is a Vice President at Riverwood Capital. Prior to joining Riverwood, Eric was an Associate at Savano Capital Partners, a late-stage venture capital fund, where he focused on investments in growth-oriented technology companies through primary and secondary transactions. Eric began his career advising middle-market companies on M&A and financing transactions at Davis Capital.

Francisco Alvarez-Demalde is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Riverwood Capital. Francisco co-heads the Firm and has built the Riverwood Capital franchise and been involved in the scalability journey of several of Riverwood's portfolio companies since its inception in 2008.

Jeff Parks is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Riverwood Capital. Jeff co-heads the Firm and has been involved since inception in the development of the Riverwood Capital franchise and the scalability journey of several of Riverwood's portfolio companies.
Prior to establishing Riverwood Capital, Jeff was an investment executive at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR), where he focused on large scale leveraged buyout investments in the technology sector, and an investment professional in the Principal Opportunities Fund at Oaktree Capital Management, where he specialized in private equity investment in distressed companies. Earlier in his career, Jeff was an investment banker at UBS Investment Bank in Los Angeles.
Jeff has extensive experience investing in global technology companies. During his career, Jeff has led investments in a vast array of companies and worked closely with several successful entrepreneurs in scaling globally, bringing both capital and expertise to those initiatives. He earned a Dual BA in Economics and Mathematics from Pomona College (Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) in Claremont, California.

Currently working to connect "fin" and "tech" with a mission-driven approach that helps borrowers become savers. As the CTO for Marcus at Goldman Sachs, Jeff led the development and launch of the Apple Card. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Jeff has held leadership roles at Stripe, where he served as head of engineering, and at Uber and Twitter. A few sectors of Jeff's focus include fintech, health care, consumer internet, security and encryption, retail and analytics, and gaming.
Joaquim Lima is a Partner at Riverwood Capital, where he focuses on Latin America. Prior to joining Riverwood in 2011, Joaquim was an Investment Officer with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private investment arm of the World Bank Group, where he focused in the technology industry and other sectors in Latin America, based in Washington DC and São Paulo. Tej brings the right balance of business and deep technical expertise to any executive team to drive mentorship, strategy, and execution to benefit the overall business. In his spare time, Tej reads technical and philosophical texts, as well as practices yoga and plays music on traditional instruments such as the harmonium.

Thomas Been is an Executive Advisor to Riverwood Capital where he serves as a part-time consultant for the firm and its portfolio. He is also currently the Chief Marketing Officer of DataStax. Prior to this role, Thomas was Chief Marketing Officer of Druva where he led the company's demand generation, partner marketing, awareness, branding, and thought leadership initiatives. He is driven by a curiosity about the impact that data and technology can have on businesses. Thomas first honed his technical knowledge in customer-facing roles at New Era of Networks and Sybase (acquired by SAP). Subsequently Thomas joined TIBCO where he held a variety of strategic sales and alliances roles before joining the marketing leadership team.
