Jennifer Al-Janabi

Jennifer Al-Janabi's considerable experience also includes the preparation of employment documentation as well as advice to companies in connection with redundancy selection procedures and disciplinary processes. Jenifer Al-Janabi eared her LLB Degree at the University of Leicester before completing her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Birmingham. After qualifying as a Solicitor in 2006, Jennifer practiced commercial litigation and employment law at a commercial law firm based in Birmingham. She soon began to specialise exclusively on employment related matters and gained extensive experience acting on behalf of employees as well as employers. Jennifer has provided advice to employer clients in relation to the breaching of restrictive covenants as well as obtaining injunctive relief and successfully pursuing damages. Her considerable experience also includes the preparation of employment documentation as well as advice to companies in connection with redundancy selection procedures and disciplinary processes. John Alick McConkey

John Alick McConkey has a wide breadth of experience when it comes to providing advice to employees about the terms and implications of settlement agreements. John Alick McConkey obtained his LLB undergraduate degree in Belfast before moving to Cardiff where he competed his Legal Practice Course. He qualified as a Solicitor in 2012 and gained a broad range of employment law experience while working at a firm in Cardiff before moving to a larger practice based in West London. John acts for individuals as well as employers. His range of expertise includes drafting consultancy agreements, employment contracts and employee handbooks as well as writing letters on behalf of employers to employees engaged in disciplinary proceedings. John also regularly provides advice to employers in relation to redundancy situations which involve staff consultations together with the provision of redundancy selection criteria. John has a wide breadth of experience when it comes to providing advice to employees about the terms and implications of settlement agreements. In situations where he deems further negotiation to be necessary, John regularly secures far higher settlements for his clients than they originally anticipated. He has also issued claims in the Employment Tribunal for a range of issues including, unfair dismissal, discrimination, harassment and unlawful deduction of wages.
