This project is a C++ game engine and editor, designed in order to provide simple tools for creating games in 2D. It was built from the ground up, in order to learn and experiment with different aspects of game engine architecture and design. The architecture was built taking inspiration from other open-source game engine projects, as well as using libraries such as OpenGL, GLFW, Dear ImGUI, FMOD, mono, and others. The engine features a C# Scripting system and API, asset and script hot-reloading, automatic script compilation, generic project management, a scene-based editor, and more... MIRR, or minimally invasive runtime reflection is a simple reflection library for C++. This library was written for use in the aforementioned Chroma Engine, and was designed for supporting actions such as serialization.
