Aaron Ford

Background Aaron started the Data Intelligence Group to improve TCV's data-driven decision making at every stage of the investment lifecycle. He joined the firm as an Associate within the consumer internet sector, where he was part of the investment team for Airbnb, Dollar Shave Club, GoFundMe, and Rover. Interests Aaron was born and raised in Minnesota and still has his broomball shoes. After stints as a baseball umpire, computer repairman, and Chinese food delivery guy, Aaron has finally found his calling in tech growth equity. He enjoys basketball, skiing, dive bars, tacos, and travel. Education Aaron received a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Williams College.

Adriaan Mol

Background Adriaan is a Dutch tech entrepreneur and investor. He founded Mollie in 2004 as an 18-year old engineer, and later co-founded MessageBird. Adriaan used his product-first approach and successful implementation of technology to modernize an old infrastructure and make it simpler and easier to use. Adriaan is currently supporting Mollie's management team on product and company strategy. He also backs innovative start-ups that match his interests in technology, communication, and financial services. Interests Adriaan finds inspiration everywhere - from nature to the cities of the world. He loves Star Wars and Sci-Fi as much as a perfectly blended cocktail, art, music, and the power of 1s and 0s. He is passionate about the next great idea, cool new technology, and the potential to improve on already-existing solutions. Adriaan started his companies because he imagined a world where technology and creativity could flourish.

Alex Fowler

Background Alex focuses on investments in the consumer technology space including commerce, consumer-facing healthcare, education, financial services, and software businesses. She is involved with TCV's investments in Grow Therapy, Instawork, and Passport. Prior to TCV, Alex spent time as a growth stage investor at Norwest Venture Partners. Alex began her career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley. Interests Alex was born and raised in San Francisco. During her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Alex is always looking for new restaurants to try and trails to hike in the Bay Area. Education Alex earned her B.A. in Economics from Cornell University.

Alexander Wortmann

Background Alexander focuses on investment opportunities in the software and financial technology sectors and is based in Melbourne. His current partnerships include Allica Bank, Celonis, Cognite, Darwinbox, Devo, Klarna, Mollie, Qonto, Razorpay, RELEX Solutions, Revolut, and Zepz. Alexander rejoined TCV in 2021 from RELEX Solutions, where he was Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy. Prior to joining TCV in 2016, he was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Technology, Media, and Telecoms group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, where he gained experience with M&A, equity, and debt transactions. Before moving into finance, he completed an engineering internship at Lockheed Martin in the production team of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter in Fort Worth, Texas. Interests Alexander was born and raised in the Netherlands and does not understand why the rest of the world has not discovered poffertjes, hagelslag, oliebollen or kaassouflees yet, so he tries to go back regularly to feast on Dutch cuisine. He enjoys basketball, guitar, and getting out on the water to surf or scuba dive whenever possible. Education Alexander received his M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Flight Performance & Propulsion from the Delft University of Technology and graduated with a B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from the Delft University of Technology.

Amol Helekar

Background Amol joined TCV in 2009 and focuses on investments in software, fintech and tech-enabled services. He serves on the board of directors at Clio, Evisort, and Trulioo. His other current partnerships include Avetta, Built, OneSource Virtual, Payoneer, Razorpay, and Toast. He previously participated on the board of AxiomSL. Prior to TCV, Amol spent several years with McKinsey & Company, where he advised clients on strategy engagements in the energy, financial services, and technology industries. Interests Amol was born in Goa, India, and grew up in Houston. He enjoys traveling, biking, and going for strolls around New York with his wife and young son. Education Amol received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University.

Amy Bohutinsky

Amy joined TCV in 2019 as a Venture Partner, working with TCV's B2C team and portfolio companies. Amy is an experienced operational leader, consumer brand builder, and board director. Most recently, she spent 14 years in leadership roles at Zillow Group, beginning as a founding team member at Zillow in 2005, and serving first as Chief Marketing Officer, then Chief Operating Officer. During her tenure, Zillow grew from startup to a household name with a portfolio of home-related brands. In early 2019 Amy joined Zillow Group's Board of Directors and stepped away from her operating role.

Andrea Cambria

Background Andrea joined TCV's Finance team in 2019. She is responsible for leading the valuation process of TCV's investments, along with other corporate finance activities. Prior to TCV, Andrea spent over 11 years in Deloitte's valuation services practice based in New York. She was a member of the portfolio valuation services team and served investment management clients including private equity funds, hedge funds, and university and state endowments/pension funds. Interests Outside of the office, Andrea and her husband are often traveling to visit family and friends or explore new places - and if she's not on a trip, she's likely planning her next one! Tours inevitably wind up as a search for the best wine bar, coffee shop, taqueria, or pizzeria. Education Andrea graduated from Villanova University with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Finance.

Anita Pramoda

Background Anita is CEO of Owned Outcomes (O2), a software company that helps participating organizations win at value based care and transparency initiatives. Previously, Anita was the Chief Financial Officer of Epic Systems Corporation, an electronic medical records company that serves more than 150 million Americans. In the past, Anita has also served on the boards of Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (Los Angeles), Dignity Health Foundation and Allscripts (Nasdaq: MDRX). Interests Anita currently serves on the board of directors of Health Catalyst (Nasdaq: HCAT), Press Ganey, Duly Health and Care, and Kipu. Education Anita holds a B.S. degree in Engineering and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Anthony Arocho

Background Anthony joined TCV in 2021. He is responsible for advising and guiding deal teams through all phases of the investment lifecycle, including investments, portfolio matters and exits, and a variety of other legal and operational functions. Prior to joining TCV, Anthony was counsel in the private equity group at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he advised investors and their portfolio companies on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including M&A, growth equity investments and other strategic transactions. Prior to Weil, Anthony was an associate in the business and technology and private equity group at Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP and before that, as counsel at Telerik, Inc. (acquired by Progress Software). Interests Outside of work, Anthony enjoys skiing, golf, hockey, biking, and enjoying spending time with his kids as they learn to love those passions (whether they want to or not!). Education Anthony earned his B.S. in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University, and received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.

Austin Levitt

He's always looking for companies that enable wider audiences of people to create and connect in ways not possible before. He supports TCV's investments in GoFundMe, Instawork, Spotify, and Strava. Prior to TCV, Austin was a Partner at Sequoia Capital and an investor at TA Associates where he backed and collaborated with high growth companies across technology sectors. Before investing, Austin worked in consulting at Oliver Wyman, where he advised companies on corporate development, growth strategy, and investments. Interests Austin is an aspiring surfer and an occasional poet. His father was a sports handicapper for a living, which inspired his fondness for underdogs. He enjoys electronic music, climbing trees, and leg days. Education Austin graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in Creative Writing.

Bob Burke

Background Bob has over 35 years of experience in the technology space with both private and public companies and is focused on investment opportunities in the software and internet sectors. Bob was most recently CEO of Art Technology Group (ATG) and led the turnaround and rejuvenation of the business. Under Bob's leadership, ATG became a leading e-commerce software provider and was acquired by Oracle in 2011. Before ATG, Bob was CEO of Quidnunc, a privately-held web consultancy with headquarters in London and offices in the United States. Prior to that, he was President of ePresence Solutions (formerly Banyan Systems), where he led the repositioning of Banyan from its legacy Network Operating System business both organically and by acquisition. Bob started his career as a software specialist at Digital Equipment Corporation and held a wide variety of roles in hardware and software infrastructure, software applications, and services. His various roles at Digital included being general manager of its systems integration business with operations in over 45 countries. He serves on the board of directors at Act-On, Rave Mobile Safety, and RELEX Solutions. He has been an advisor for many companies during his career, and is a respected expert in software and e-commerce. Interests Bob enjoys being with family and friends, traveling, and trying to improve his golf game. Education Bob has a B.S. in Physics from Eastern Michigan University.

Brian LaBrunda

Background Brian joined TCV in 2019 bringing more than 20 years of finance, accounting, and operational experience in industries including global asset management and technology. His responsibilities are rooted in financial functions, namely financial reporting, regulatory reporting, capital requirements, investor servicing, daily management of operations, and accounting matters, along with forward-looking financial planning and analysis. Before joining TCV, Brian was Managing Director and Director of Public Entity Operations at Sculptor Capital where he oversaw a variety of finance functions, including transitioning the firm from a private to a public entity, as well as multiple private and public financings. Brian's experience in asset management began with the Investment Management segment at Morgan Stanley. Interests Professionally, Brian enjoys building results focused high-performance teams. Personally, he loves traveling to cheer on his three energy filled daughters at soccer and softball games. Chris Degiere

Chris joined TCV in 2017 and leads Data Science and Engineering efforts in the Data Intelligence Group. Chris is an experienced leader with over 20 years in technology and finance. He focuses on computational approaches to improve data-driven decision making at every stage of the investment lifecycle. Before TCV, Chris led Company Data and Sales Intelligence initiatives at LinkedIn. Prior to LinkedIn, Chris founded a technology consultancy that helped several startups reach important milestones for funding and acquisition, and consulted for Fortune 500 wealth managers and banks. As a Bay Area native, Chris is an avid outdoor enthusiast, technologist, and self-proclaimed Futurist. He enjoys taking trips with his wife and two daughters, and acquiring way more electronic music gear than he has time to play.

Chuck Davis

Background Chuck brings more than 20 years of leadership and strategic experience to his position as Chairman and CEO of Prodege, a Los Angeles-based internet, media, and TCV portfolio company. Prodege, a cutting-edge marketing and consumer insights platform, leverages its global audience of reward program members from leading properties such as Upromise.com, Swagbucks.com, MyPoints.com, and InboxDollars.com to power its business solutions. Chuck started his career in publishing with roles at various publications before joining his initial digital venture as the first president of e-commerce for The Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles. During his tenure, Chuck launched many merchant and travel businesses including Disneystore.com, Disneyvacations.com, and ESPNstore.com, in addition to supervising advertising sales, marketing, and online subscription initiatives. He became President and CEO of Shopzilla, also known as BizRate.com, and led the company to become the largest, most profitable, and fastest-growing comparison-shopping site online. Shopzilla was acquired by the E.W. Scripps Company for $569 million in 2005. Landing at Fandango as its Chairman and CEO, he built the entertainment website to become the nation's top moviegoer destination before it was acquired by Comcast Corporation. Fandango is a former TCV portfolio company. Interests In addition to serving as a board member and advisor for several companies, Chuck is invested in the business leaders of tomorrow. He is a trustee emeritus of the Brown University Corporation. Chuck was voted Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004 by Ernst & Young for Los Angeles and previously served as a judge for its annual competition for 9 years. He was also elected International Chairman of the Young Presidents' Organization for 2012-13. Chuck was voted into the LAVA (Los Angeles Venture Association) Hall of Fame in 2015. Chuck was an entrepreneur in residence at Harvard Business School (HBS) from 2011-17, meeting students representing 50 startups each year. He has coached many all star soccer teams and is a referee for his local American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) league. Clarey Zhu

Before joining TCV, Clarey worked in the Technology Investment Banking group at J.P. Morgan in San Francisco, where she focused on M&A advisory and financings for tech companies across the internet, software, systems, and semiconductor verticals globally. She also brings banking and early-stage investing experience from previous positions in New York City, Beijing, and Jerusalem. Interests Born in China in its early days of digital disruption, Clarey saw firsthand how rapidly technology can create new categories, expand markets, and fuel economic development. She has a special appreciation for international founders, especially in emerging markets, and is inspired to recognize patterns across geos. Clarey spends her spare time reading, skiing, surfing, hiking, scuba diving, and trying different restaurants or new recipes. When it's time for vacation, she's likely to be getting on a plane to another exotic destination - her growing list of places she's visited currently includes more than 50 countries. Colby Gilbert

Background Colby joined TCV in 2019 and focuses on investments in the enterprise software sector. He supports TCV's partnerships with Attentive, Avetta, Clio, GitLab, Toast, and LegalZoom. Interests Colby was born and raised in Boston, and has also lived in Chicago, San Francisco, and New York City. As the youngest of four boys, he's been surrounded by role models his whole life and is passionate about replicating that experience for others as a volunteer with various youth organizations. In his spare time, he loves playing ice hockey, listening to podcasts, reading about technology, and rooting for the Patriots when their season "officially" begins each January. Education Colby graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University, where he received a B.S.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. While at Northeastern, Colby served as co-president of the Collegiate Alternative Investment Summit, an annual conference dedicated to exploring topics in private equity and venture capital.

Crista Ricci

Background Crista joined the TCV Finance team in 2019, bringing with her experience servicing large asset management firms in the public accounting space. Her responsibilities include supporting the daily fund operations and financial reporting function. She also assists with regulatory and investor reporting, researching technical accounting updates, and financial planning and analysis. Before joining TCV, Crista was an Assurance Manager in the EY Financial Services Office, Wealth & Asset Management Practice in New York City. Interests Crista grew up in New Jersey and currently lives in New York City. Outside the office, Crista enjoys going to the ballet, rooting for the Fighting Irish, spending time down the shore, and trying to keep up with her husband on the slopes. Daniel Zajda

Prior to TCV, Daniel was a Global Business Partner at ByteDance, a Talent Management leader at Samsung Electronics America, and a Human Capital Strategy consultant at Deloitte Consulting LLP. He started his career as an employment lawyer in Washington D.C. and then joined Bank of America as a member of the Human Resources rotational leadership program, where he provided support in the areas of employee relations and business partner strategy. Interests Daniel was born and raised in San Diego, CA, but now calls New York City home. Daniel enjoys international travel, cycling, skiing, golf, spending time outdoors with his dog, and supporting his favorite sports teams: Chelsea FC and the Washington Capitals. Darrin Shamo

Background Darrin has helped a number of companies grow from startup to global brand leader throughout his career. Most recently, Darrin served as CMO at Offerpad, where he was responsible for leading matters including marketing channel efficiency to site conversion. More broadly, Darrin was a key architect of the brand and product, elevating Offerpad's position as a high-touch company that delivers enhanced customer experience. Prior to Offerpad, he led the marketing organization at DoorDash and helped establish the brand through rapid local market expansion. Preceding his tenure at DoorDash, Darrin was CMO at Coupang, a high-growth startup based in Seoul, South Korea. Before Coupang, Darrin was the third marketing employee hired by Zappos, and helped lead the company's marketing/brand efforts. Interests Darrin along with his wife and three kids maintain an active schedule filled with mountain biking, watersports, single track enduro and many other general endurance challenges. David Eichler

David spent a year away from TCV, working at HireVue in Utah, where he helped develop the company's sales & marketing strategy. Prior to TCV, David worked at The Blackstone Group in the Bay Area focusing on Technology M&A. He started his career at Lighthouse Capital Partners, a venture debt provider. Interests David hails from New Jersey and is a hopeless Jets fan. Since moving to the Bay Area over a decade ago, he's found happiness as a Warriors fan. In his free time, David enjoys running & biking (both on Pelotons) and chasing around his young son. Education David received his A.B. in Economics and Music from Brown University.

David Weber

Background Dave has nearly 30 years of software/SaaS company experience. Dave is currently serving as interim CFO of Mambu, a TCV portfolio company. This follows roles as CFO/COO at AxiomSL and CFO Charles River Development through significant growth and subsequent sales. Prior to this, Dave held CFO and other finance roles at Sybase and Context Integration. Interests Dave and his wife are on the backside of raising three great young men so have a bit more free time for activities. Dave enjoys skiing, tennis, and traveling with friends. David Zhang

David Zhang named rising-star fintech VC by Business Insider Background David has over a decade of experience in the global tech industry. He focuses on investments in the fintech sector. He serves on the board of Wealthsimple and was previously involved with the board of Nubank. David's other current partnerships include Airbnb, Brex, and Klarna. Before joining TCV, David invested in global internet companies for Dorsal Capital Management, a technology specialist hedge fund based in the Bay Area. He also worked at the TMT investment banking division of Goldman Sachs. David began his career by co-founding an online real estate start-up in Asia. Interests David loves surfing, golf, snowboarding, and scuba diving. When he's not out in nature, he is typically reading historical biographies or immersing himself in sci-fi media. Education David attended the undergraduate program at the University of Notre Dame and received a B.S. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Doug Gilstrap

Background Doug focuses on investments in the IT infrastructure area for both enterprise and service provider markets. He also works with companies in the business services and FinTech industries. Doug has a global operational, finance, sales, and transactional background. He served on the board of directors of TCV company Cradlepoint, which was acquired by Ericsson in 2020. Previously, Doug was Chief Strategy Officer for Ericsson, a role that included chairing the company's M&A Investment Committee. Prior to that, he was Head of Strategy for Cable and Wireless; CEO of Radianz, a secure low latency and hosting financial services data extranet, and CFO and COO of Equant Networks (NYSE: ENT), a global data network services company. Radianz and Equant are now divisions of BT and Orange, respectively. He started his career as a CPA and M&A consultant before moving to technology and telecommunications. Doug has had private and public equity experience with international companies based in France, Netherlands, U.K., and Sweden. Capital fundraising experience includes initial public offerings, secondary and private equity in both the U.S. and Europe. Interests Doug was raised in upstate New York and somehow able to keep moving south for warmer weather and career opportunities. This took a turn northward when the family moved from Texas to Sweden before coming back to New York. He has spent his entire 25-year career with European-based B2B technology companies. In his spare time, Doug enjoys watching sports and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, fly fishing, and golf. Education Doug received his B.S. from the University of Richmond and his M.B.A from Emory University. He was a qualified CPA.

Edie Ashton - CIO

Background Edie joined TCV in 2021 as Chief Information Officer to ensure modern technology and robust security underpin our strategic growth plans. Prior to TCV, Edie spent nine years working for The Carlyle Group in Washington DC, where she was the segment CIO for Global Private Equity. She began her career with financial services firms such as Jefferies & Co. and The Capital Group before moving into the telecom industry working for global brands including Nextel and Sprint. Interests Edie grew up in Alexandria, Virginia, before temporarily transplanting to the West Coast to attend the University of Southern California. When she is not geeking out on technology podcasts or attending her daughter's swim meets and lacrosse games, Edie will mostly likely be in motion: rowing, running, playing tennis, or hiking with her two English Labradors. She is also passionate about equitable education and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Meridian Public Charter School, located in Washington D.C. Education Edie received her B.A. in Economics from the University of Southern California.

Emma Hanley

Erez Elisha - CFO

Background Erez joined TCV in 2019, bringing more than 20 years of experience of working with global financial institutions. Erez leads the firm's global finance, treasury, valuation, tax, and corporate development functions. He also oversees the firm's IT function. Prior to TCV, Erez was an Executive Managing Director and Chief Accounting Officer for Sculptor Capital Management, where he managed the Public Entity, Corporate Finance, and Accounting teams. He previously held VP of Finance roles in the Asset Management Divisions at Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan. Erez started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Interests Erez enjoys a broad range of music and has been playing the piano since childhood. He loves spending time with his family and can be found on lacrosse fields on weekends, cheering for his children's teams. Erez has also been an active supporter and volunteer of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), which was established in 1945 with the vision of harnessing the latest research techniques to conquer cancer. Education Erez holds a B.S. in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University and an M.B.A. from the University of Miami. Erez is a C.P.A. certified in the State of Georgia.

Evan Hochhauser

Background Evan joined TCV in 2021 and focuses on investments in the software, fintech, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors. He is particularly focused on AI/ML infrastructure & applications, B2B payments, and slower to adopt segments (supply chain, HCIT, manufacturing, industrial operations). His portfolio partnerships include Arize, BenchSci, Legit Security, and Syllable. Prior to TCV, Evan invested in growth-stage software and fintech companies for Susquehanna Growth Equity, where he began his career. Interests Evan is a New York native who has spent nearly two years living across Asia, Africa, and South America. You'll often find him searching for the nearest trail, slope or dive site, but when not out in the wild, he is kickboxing or watching the Tottenham circus show. Gautam Gupta

Background Gautam focuses on investments in the consumer technology space including commerce, consumer-facing healthcare, education, software, and financial services businesses. He participates on the boards of Grow Therapy, Instawork, and Passport. Most recently, Gautam was a Partner at M13 Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on consumer technology, where he led investments in marketplace, consumer subscription, and B2B2C models. Gautam started his career at General Catalyst in 2004. He was initially an intern while in college and later became a member of the investment team. He left to launch NatureBox and, as CEO, helped build the company into a nationally recognized brand with millions of customers. Gautam has seen the highs and lows of entrepreneurship first-hand which greatly influences the collaborative way he works with founders. Interests Gautam loves the drive, hustle, and ambition of entrepreneurs of all kinds. He spends some of his free time mentoring entrepreneurs and serving on the advisory board of his alma mater, Babson College. Gopi Vaddi

Background Gopi is a General Partner at TCV. He focuses on investments in software, payments and digital marketplaces. Gopi's current partnerships include Aidoc, Darwinbox, Devo Technology, FarEye, and Spryker, where he serves on the board of directors, as well as Ankorstore, Dream Sports, and Redis. Gopi was previously a partner at Providence Equity, where he worked on growth buyouts in software and payments covering business applications, vertical software and infrastructure software in the U.S. and Asia. He also held investment banking and investing roles at J.P. Morgan and Columbia Capital and started his career as a software developer. Interests Gopi was born and raised in south India and migrated to the U.S. after graduating from college. Since then, he has lived and worked in the U.S., Asia and Europe. Gopi is a Cricket enthusiast at heart and also enjoys watching football with his family (both the "real" version and the American version). Greg Greeley

Background Greg was president at Airbnb during a period of dynamic acceleration, where he oversaw the company's $30 billion-plus Homes business with hosts in 100,000 cities, as well as the Luxe, Hotels, Airbnb for Work, and Superhost programs. His activities included the launch of the Long-term Stays program in 2020, the International Olympic Committee partnership, new real estate ventures, and Airbnb's acquisitions of Hotel Tonight, Luckey, Gaest, and UrbanDoor. Prior to Airbnb, Greg had a distinguished two-decade career at Amazon, where he made his mark early on with the inception and launch of Prime, expanding the media marketplace globally, and introducing dozens of new physical and digital products and categories. He resided in Europe for six years while managing Amazon's various European consumer businesses, including the launch of Amazon's eCommerce websites in Italy, Spain and subsequently India and Brazil. Ultimately, he came full circle to lead Amazon's global Prime program, growing subscriptions to more than 100 million members while introducing dozens of new member benefits across the Amazon ecosystem. Before Amazon, Greg held leadership positions at Sun Microsystems, United Airlines, McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. Interests Greg enjoys cycling, skiing, theater, and history, as well as tinkering with new technical innovations. The privilege of managing the world's largest bookstore further amplified a lifelong love of reading. Greg and his wife have always enjoyed traveling, and not too surprisingly, one of his favorite activities remains meeting hosts and guests on Airbnb. Jake Reynolds

Jay Hoag

Background Jay has been a venture capitalist and technology investor for 40 years. He and Rick Kimball co-founded TCV in 1995. John is responsible for deal structuring and execution (including investments and exits), portfolio matters, and a variety of other legal and operational functions. Before joining TCV, John was at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he advised private equity clients on a wide range of corporate and securities law matters, including M&A, leveraged buyouts, minority co-investments, and securities offerings. In addition, John has experience working with private equity and other alternative asset management firms in their formation, fundraising activities, and ongoing operations of their investment funds.
