Review essays for scholarship applications and work with committee to select three winners in the spring. Also coordinate closely with Board to notify scholarship winners and invite them to the awards ceremony at the end of the school year.

Update PTA bulletin board at a minimum of three times throughout school year so that it is visually appealing, intrigues people to join, fosters involvement, and promotes PTA accomplishments and/or upcoming events/activities. Update notification board outside the front of Rall each month with the key dates for the coming month.
Responsible for asking for volunteers to be class parents, hosting a class parent tea, informing of the requirements throughout the year, etc.

Work with Scholastic Books to setup and run the book fair, as well as work with relevant teacher(s) to coordinate PARP-themed activities designed to motivate children to read.
Report to membership on current information on education and legislative issues from the National PTA and NYS PTA.

Work with the vendors to provide broad selection of gifts for students to choose from, run the events, and work with vendors to return unsold items.
Build an informed, active membership of parents, teachers, students and all citizens of the community. Coordinate recruiting drives, collect dues, and maintain membership records.

The Council Delegate is a representative of the William Rall PTA at all of the Lindenhurst Council of PTAs meetings and events. The Council Delegate will report at all association meetings of any announcements and/or notifications from the Lindenhurst Council of PTAs.
Host drives and hands-on activities throughout the school year so students can volunteer their time for different types of community service. Responsibilities also include maintaining a log of the hours served for each activity; hosting an end of year participation celebration; and submitting applications for Presidential Service Awards in September.
Work with wholesaler to arrange delivery of pumpkins, set up of the pumpkin patch, manage event/sale, organize class photos, etc.
