When we are occupied trying to unlock our door-fumbling with keys, twisting and turning-we are placing ourselves in a vulnerable situation. How can we redesign the process of entering one's home so that our security isn't heavily reliant on a physical key that can be easily lost or easily fail us?... An elderly person needs to be able to be mobile because they need to function in their day-to-day life, but they tend to struggle and/or injure themselves in the process. How can we create an everyday product for the elderly intended to reclaim independence from immobility?
