It's a common story in the sector that I've not been immune from in my career. All too often, we find ourselves jumping straight back in without the right skills or support to protect ourselves in the future. We are ambitious people, not wanting to let our colleagues or organisations down... Working for charities is incredibly rewarding. We work with like-minded people and are committed to creating positive change in the world. However, it can mean working in multiple roles simultaneously, clocking long hours and finding ourselves navigating complicated challenges we do not feel qualified for. The risk of burnout is real, but being successful and happy do not need to be mutually exclusive.
