Amber started working with us in September as a cleaner and moved into reception in January. When not at work Amber is usually spending time with her 3 dogs. She also enjoys spending her weekends having games nights, shopping, with friends and having a good takeaway!

Ashley is originally from South Africa but has lived and travelled all over the world. She graduated from St. Georges University, Grenada, in 2011 and started work in emergency medicine in Cambridge. In 2017 Ashley moved to Aberdeenshire and began working at Mintlaw Vets.
Ashley has a strong interest in medicine and is currently studying for her BSAVA certificate in Internal Medicine.
Outside of work Ashley loves anything outdoors, but particularly diving and running. She is mum to a young daughter and has a Golden Retriever called Cali.

Aysha recently graduated with a BSc degree in Animal Science and is hoping to do her Masters in Infectious Biology with a specialism in parasitology. She enjoys walking with her two boys Marley and Scooby and competing in Strongman/women competitions.

I'm Carlene and after being a hairdresser for 14 years I decided to change my career and follow my dream to work with animals.
I went to study Animal Care at SRUC at the age of 31 which was a scary thought but I loved every minute of it and now here I am at Mintlaw vets as a receptionist which I am really enjoying and I love meeting all the animals and their owners.
I have a Golden Retriever called Cali who I love going on adventures with and I also love horse riding.

Practice Manager Connie has been working for Mintlaw Vets since 1997! She has seen the business grow from one nurse, one trainee nurse and herself.
Away from work, Connie likes travelling, gardening, painting, baking and coastal walking. She has a cat called Tiny, who is not so tiny anymore!

Emma is from Northern Ireland. She has worked in Aberdeenshire since graduating from Edinburgh Vet School in 1996.
Emma has particular interest in chronic pain management and practices acupuncture.
When she's not at work Emma is kept busy being Mum to her two boys and Jock, their Labrador. She and her family love the outdoors, walking, biking and exploring! She's recently taken up paddleboarding and although the boys enjoy coming along too, Jock hasn't quite mastered it!

Originally from Glasgow, Gillian graduated from the University of Surrey Vet School after completing a degree in Pharmacology (Biomedical Sciences) from the University of Aberdeen.
When not at work Gillian enjoys going adventures with her Border Collie called Spud, as well as catching up with friends and family. She also has two cats called Suki and Nyx.

Kim qualified as a vet nurse in 1998. She worked for a veterinary hospital in Fife for 17 years and joined Mintlaw Vets in January 2016. Her passion at work is dentistry, particularly dental clinics and giving your pets teeth a good scale and a polish.
Kim has two dogs Rogue and Peanut.

Kirsty qualified as a vet nurse in 2009 from Edinburgh. She has an interest in surgical and medical nursing and enjoys lab work.
In her spare time, when she is not kept busy looking after her son, Kirsty enjoys learning how to surf. She has a rescue cat called Oscar and a rescue dog called Mayah.

Laura is a VCA who studied at the SRUC in Aberdeen. She has a 19 year old cat called Beau who is her pride and joy and enjoys living in the countryside and keeping fit.

My name is Leah. I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse who has been qualified for three years in November.

Lianne has been with us since 2011 and became part of the reception team in 2012. She has a Honours Degree in Visual Communications which she obtained in 2012.
Lianne spends most of her free time with her staffies; Stella and Lexi. They all love going for staffie adventures with Lianne's niece and nephew, trying out new walks from the Walk Highlands website.

Lucy joined the reception team on the 25th of November 2019!
Lucy has a HND in Administration & Information Technology and has previously worked at the Mintlaw Bakers and Costcutter!
She enjoys going for walks with the family, completing word search books and cake decorating.

Maureen joined Mintlaw Vets in 2005 and has worked for many years as a vet receptionist.
She has eight grandchildren so is kepty busy outside of work. With two furry additions, Belle a cocker spaniel and Indy a miniature labradoodle, Mauren says her family is complete.

Megan enjoys spending time with her 2 year old daughter and her cat Milo and Mac the collie who recently joined her family.
In her spare time she enjoys going walking and at the weekend drinking cocktails with her friends.
Monica qualified in 1994 from the University of Glasgow Vet School. She began working at Mintlaw Vets in 2001.
Monica is an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery and has a particular interest in orthopaedics.
She spends her time coaching touch rugby and enjoys going to the gym, hill walking or cycling. Monica has a Border Collie called Case.

Nikki joined the Mintlaw Vets team in January 2010 as a student and qualified in 2013.
Nikki has a strong interest in feline nursing and has completed the certificate in ISFM Feline Nursing.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and going on adventures with her two Labrador boys; Sam and Glen. Nikki also enjoys reading and doing puzzles.

Rachel joined us in October 2020 after qualifying from Napier University in 2007. She has previously worked in practices in Aberdeen, South Africa, Borneo and Europe working alongside cats, dog, primates and elephants.
She has a keen interest in Canine Behaviour and in her spare time enjoys teaching Zumba and going hill walking.

Sheila qualified in 1981 from the University of Glasgow Vet School and has been with Mintlaw Vets since 2004.
Sheila lives not too far from the beach and can be found walking there with her lurcher Nina.
Sheila enjoys painting and cross stitch and does ceramics with Connie and Carol as the Clola Crafters. She also enjoys going to Arc cinema in Peterhead.

Shirley joined the reception team in 2010. On her holidays she likes touring Scotland in her caravan and lives with three dogs; Raisin, Jasper and Gizmo and her two cats; Suki and Shimmer.

I have two cats called Wendy and Aggie, two dogs called Betty and Reggie and a bearded dragon called Sheila.
