Gary started his professional career as a trainee accountant in Glasgow before moving into the IT sector some years ago with Reuters. A move from there to Deloitte Consulting for 3 years before starting the professional services firm Xceed. The sale of Xceed to an international consulting firm in 2018 led to Gary building a portfolio on non-executive advisor roles with a law firm, an innovative mobile phone app early-stage company, a property development company as well as GMT Finances with long-standing colleague Marcel Frei.
Jay started his finance career 9 years ago at an accountancy and business advisory practice. He is currently studying towards his Association of Certified Chartered Accountants qualification. Jay has held varied roles within education and practice providing financial support to a wide range of sectors, taking control of financial and operations matters to help them reach their full potential. He has used his skills and experience to successfully restructure the revenue and business model of an already successful educational setting to maximise their revenue streams achieve further growth.
Marcel qualified as a chartered management accountant 6 years ago and has held various roles within Consultancy, Legal and Managed Service businesses. The roles have varied across all levels within the back office finance and operations functions. He was a key member of staff in the end to end process of the preparation and successful sale of a consultancy business. With this mix of roles, functions, responsibilities and business types he understands what good looks like to be able to manage, scale and ultimately sell your business.

Murray has recently just graduated from the University of Nottingham where he studied Industrial Economics. During his studies in Nottingham, Murray studied modules which closely aligned with accounting and from this he is now continuing his learning and training in this field. In July, he joined as a trainee management accountant and is now studying towards his CIMA qualifications.
Taylor started his finance career 6 years ago at a consultancy firm. He is studying towards his Chartered Management Accountant qualification. Taylor has gained a wealth of knowledge in finance and business process management through the various roles he has undertaken. He has strong knowledge and understanding of CRM and Accounting platforms. Taylor was able to use his skill set to play a pivotal role in the smooth transition of data between two companies .

Tom has 21 years of business experience from a career with the John Lewis Partnership, where he developed strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking and financial acumen. A new addition to the team, he is in the final modules of his AAT studies and aims to start the CIMA qualification later this year. His studies, combined with his extensive background, give him a unique perspective of what businesses need to succeed and how this can be best delivered.
