Julia Rogers

Job Titles:
  • Trainer and Assessor
Julia has a calm, warm, but thorough teaching style that inspires delegates to want to learn more, explaining information in a way that's easy to understand and absorb. Overall, as a trainer/assessor she is not just a source of knowledge but also a beacon of kindness and support. Her friendly demeanour, combined with genuine care leaves a lasting impact on our students. Julia Rogers has been part of the Audiology Academy team for several years now and is a well-respected and valued trainer. After completing a BSC in Health Science and Deaf Studies, she did what many graduates do and travelled around the world. Julia took this passion one step further and became Cabin Crew for an international airline. As her career developed - for a time being on the prestigious VIP team transporting dignitaries and the Royal family - one of her main roles became a teacher, trainer, and assessor in the training school. During her spare time, she taught at a further education college delivering and heading a popular cabin crew course. In 2020, not only did Covid seriously impact the travel industry, but Julia also encountered personal obstacles which meant her priorities changed. After being furloughed, she decided to take voluntary redundancy and, as so many people did at this stage, she decided upon a career change. In October 2020, she joined the Hear In Hagley team as an Ear Care Practitioner, with a specialty in ear wax removal. Julia says that "This role was so rewarding, I loved how good you could make a client feel by looking after the health of their ears." Drawing on Julia's degree, training experience and engaging warm personality, Jo and Chris very soon recognised the huge potential in her unique skill sets. It was a natural progression with her vast teaching, training, and assessing experience to join the Audiology Academy as an assessor for Ear Wax Removal and Otoscopy courses. In addition, her dedication to the ‘client centric' experience enabled Julia to proactively design and deliver a great Front of House/ Receptionist Course. Her natural enthusiasm shines through when she trains, and she always ensures her delegates understand the subject at all stages. "We found it really informative and extremely useful for front of house staff. Julia made it fun and interesting with lots of activities throughout. Everything was covered, from the very first contact with the customer, to the end when the customer leaves the clinic with every intention of returning after having had five star treatment." Delegate Feedback for Julia and her Front of House/ Receptionist Course Julia has also said "I love my role at the Academy because I work with such a fabulous team. It is also incredibly rewarding to see our students expand upon their knowledge and develop their practical skills, the feedback is incredible."

Her time in the salons was the perfect place to connect with people, helping them to feel good about themselves, and it's Linda's people loving personality that fits right in with the Audiology Academy's ethos. She is a professional welcomer and has a real knack for putting people at ease and making them feel comfortable. She's a mum to two sons, two dogs and two cats. Linda loves nothing more than walking her canine companions, gardening, all sorts of crafts and even a spot of DIY.
