Born and raised in the Netherlands, we emigrated to France in 2008. Because of Maarten's passion for history and Didi's love for cooking, we made the decission to make our hobbies our jobs. Our little hotel was built in 1921 for the sole purpose of battlefield tourism, which really took off with the construction of the American Memorial (1933-1937) in the ancient town centre of Montfaucon d'Argonne. With only two (Varennes and Romagne) other hotels in the area, many American dignitaries and generals must have spend a night in our hotel. A true historical site and with over ten years of experience, we will do anything in our power to make your stay as pleasant as possible... Our B&B 14-18 Meuse-Argonne, in the department 'Meuse', is an ideal starting point for a visit to the First World War Battlefields of Verdun, Champagne and the Meuse-Argonne.
