Wai Yee joined the firm on 1st October 2019. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons) from the University of London in 1998 and was awarded the Certificate of Legal Practice (Hons) by the Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia in 2000. She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2001 and subsequently, as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam in 2009. Since 2002, Wai Yee's practice has been as a solicitor, mainly in the field of property transactions and the related banking transactions. Wai Yee specialises in the drafting of documentation for the conveyance of real properties, development agreements and banking security documentation for both conventional loans and Islamic financing. She also specialises in the drafting of agreements for tenancies, shareholders, partnerships, joint ventures and sales of businesses. Wai Yee's other areas of practice includes dealing with testamentary matters, probate and administration. Wai Yee was made a Partner on 3 rd January 2022.

Tan Chee Huie

Chee Huie obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University of Sheffield, United Kingdom in 2004. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in July 2006. He was admitted as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Brunei in September 2007. Chee Huie's main area of practice is civil litigation. He handles debt collection, landlord and tenant disputes, personal injury matters,matrimonial disputes, partnership disputes and intellectual property matters. He is also experienced in the preparation of sale and purchase agreements for landed properties, development agreements, securities documentation and partnership agreements. Alongside all those, he also provides advice to local banks on banking laws and related areas.
