Ashley Field

Ashley Field is a 36-year-old East Providence native. She currently resides in Swansea, MA, with her husband and two children. She has had different roles in her career, working in child care and chiropractic care. Over the last five years, she has coached and taught inclusive fitness to people of all ages. Ashley has traveled all over New England to teach. She helped run WiggleKids, a fitness center for children and their families, which was formerly located in the Swansea Mall. Now, she has brought Drums AliveĀ® to American Drum Company. Ashley is extremely passionate about the special abilities community and loves bringing fit fun to all.

Brendan Mason

Brendan Mason is an active teacher, performer, and clinician in the New England area. He currently teaches general and instrumental music at East Shoreline Catholic Academy in Branford, CT (previously Saint Mary School). He serves as the Assistant Marching Band Director for Jonathan Law High School in Milford, CT. He provides private lessons to many students of all ages in the New England area. Brendan has also served as a technician to several area drum lines and percussion sections, including the Cheshire High School Marching Band, Col. John Chester Drum Corps, Connecticut Patriots Drum Corps, The Stony Creek Drum Corps, and the 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. He has provided clinics and workshops worldwide, including a 2014 presentation for the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Indianapolis, a week of clinics in Singapore for the Singapore Armed Forces Band, and for The Royal Marine School of Music in Portsmouth, UK. Brendan is a regular teacher, performer, and guest throughout China as a member of The China Percussive Arts Society. Brendan is a student of Paul Cormier, Mike Gagnon, Matt Mayotte, and Tim Cecil. He later studied under Ken Green while attending Northwestern State University of Louisiana, where he pursued a degree in music education and percussion performance. Brendan started playing rudimental snare drum at the age of 6 as a Col. John Chester Drum Corps member. He soon began competing individually through the Corps, winning honors at the Connecticut, Massachusetts, Hudson Valley, and Northeastern States Championships. At age 9, Brendan became the youngest drummer to hold The Dan English Trophy as the Connecticut State Junior Snare Drum Champion, a distinction he has won more times than any other individual. In addition to teaching, Brendan is an active member of the Connecticut Patriots Drum Corps. He has also performed with the Grand Republic Fife and Drum Corps, the Middlesex County Volunteers, and The Top Secret Drum Corps of Basel, Switzerland. Through these groups, Brendan has toured both nationally and internationally, performing in Switzerland, France, Germany, and Australia. He has individually performed with notable musicians, such as Shania Twain, and was featured on an ESPN recording. Brendan is a proud member of The Company of Fifers and Drummers, USARD, and NARD. He is also an endorsee of Mapex/Majestic Percussion, The Cooperman Drum Company, Innovative Percussion, ProLogix Percussion, and Loyal Drums.

Rob Perry

Rob Perry has played and taught drums and percussion for over 25 years. After graduating from Middletown High School, Rob attended the University of New Hampshire, where he performed with the UNH Wildcat Marching Band, Pep Band, and Symphonic Band. Upon graduation, Rob expanded his percussion repertoire to include many styles and genres. He has recently played with the Pawtuxet Rangers Fife and Drum Corps, Rhode Island Highlanders Pipe Band, Navy Band Northeast, and Salve Regina University Community Concert Band. Rob played in the influential band Bubblegum Villains in the late 2000s, touring around southern New England, and was nominated Best New Band 2008 in Motif Magazine. Rob is an active instructor in the marching percussion world. He has worked as Drumline/Front Ensemble Instructor at Portsmouth High School, Johnston High School, Andover High School, and New Bedford High School, guiding these bands through the experience of competing in US Bands and NESBA circuits. Rob is also an active educator with various Bagpipe Bands, instructing Sutherland Pipe Band, Brian Boru Pipes and Drums, and the Rhode Island Professional Firefighters Pipes and Drums. When Rob is not teaching his many students, he performs with Bristol County Fifes and Drums and St. Edmund's Pipes and Drums (Drum Sergeant and Lead Tip) as well as his four-piece band, Weird Dad. Rob also competes in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association as a Grade III Snare Drum Soloist, placing at events and earning Drummer of the Day accolades. In 2014, Rob took the EUSPBA 1st Place Overall Points Winner for Grade IV Senior. In 2015, he placed second overall before advancing to Grade III, where he placed third overall in his first year. Rob is a proud member of The Company of Fifers and Drummers, the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association, the Percussive Arts Society, and the National Association for Music Education (including RIMEA and MMEA).

Tom Evans

Owner, Tom Evans, designed a versatile new studio space for our drumming needs. Our custom facility offers 4 practice rooms, each with a live feed so you can watch your student from the waiting room. ADC provides a large open rehearsal area for group classes or performances and a one of a kind drum museum.

Tom Pompei

Tom Pompei has been playing, performing and teaching drums for about 10 years. He attended the University of Massachusetts of Lowell for a semester before transferring to the Berklee Pathway School at Holland College in PEI, Canada. He was involved in the UML marching band during his semester there. At Holland College he played in a variety of bands of all different genres and styles including Rock, Celtic and World, Blues, Jazz and Funk. He teaches many different students of all different ages and skill levels in the MA and RI areas.
