Michael obtained his Physical Therapist Assistant Degree from Broome Community College in 2001, Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2005 and his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification in 2004. He obtained his Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy certification through the McKenzie Institute in 2010, ASTYM certification in 2012, and BFR certification in 2021. Michael started the Summit Physical Therapy Oswego office located in downtown Oswego and has recently merged that office with his company Apollo Physical Therapy.
Michael has years of experience working with various athletes of all levels as a strength and conditioning coach. As a physical therapist, he's had the opportunity to work closely with the trainers and athletes at SUNY Oswego college over the past 15 years. Michael also spent time as an adjunct professor at SUNY Oswego and guest lectured for CNY Blood Brothers, a Hemophilia support group in central NY.
Outside of work, Michael competes in Triathlons and bike races. Coming from a background in team athletics, then bodybuilding/power lifting, and now turning to endurance athletics, he has been able to use his personal experiences to help athletes of all calibers return to competition quickly and safely.
