I used product analytics (Heap and Hotjar) data and user interviews to learn how customers used the legacy DM which helped inform our new UX and prioritize which functionality and user flows to build first. I met with UX and technical leads to develop a general project outline for building the new DM, discussed dependencies and assessed feasiblity of different approaches. After outlining the project, I worked with our UX designer to design, prototype, and meet with users to test the new DM experiences. Once we were confident we had a solid product experience, we worked with our full stack development team to build both the back end and front end of the new DM. We used react.js framework to build a dynamic, mobile-friendly front end and decoubled, microservice back end accessible via REST API calls.
