Biography He joined our parent company, Assessment Technologies, in 2001 and found his stride educating prospects and customers about their complex property tax service options in our AT Tax Advisory practice group. No stranger to large national portfolios, Adam acquired and managed more than $3 billion in taxable assets with companies like Ashley Furniture, Core Realty Holdings, Rooms To Go, Safeway and TruFit Athletic Clubs. In addition, he coordinated the onboarding and execution efforts in complex organizational situations like those of Belk Inc., Country Fresh Holdings, Gordon Foods, Mattress Firm, McDermott International, Northwest Senior Housing (Edgemere) and WB Supply Company. Adam has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is also actively involved with many industry associations and promotes AT Tax Advisory's philosophy around the country. Some of Adam's other activities and memberships include: Affiliate member of the South Texas Chapter of the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute (CCIM), serving as a board member from 2011-2015. Biography David A. Young is a senior property tax consultant for the P at AT Tax Advisory, a division of Assessment Technologies, LTD. The AT Tax Advisory division, formerly the combined Complex Property and Bankruptcy Consulting Practices, focuses on assisting and strategizing with varied clients during the different phases of a restructuring engagement. Mr. Young is a licensed Senior Property Tax Consultant in the State of Texas and is a Registered Property Consultant licensed in the state of Arizona. He also maintains professional memberships or affiliations with the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT), the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals (TAPTP) and is on the board of Plateau Land and Wildlife.

James Hausman - President

Biography As an integral member of the Business Development and Management teams of Assessment Technologies and AT Tax Advisory, James has participated in the development of an in-house database system compatible with those systems employed by various appraisal districts; systems to transfer mainframe and microfiche data to PC based systems; experimental research techniques to refine client development prospecting; and most recently, a Web server connection for existing clients to facilitate ease of communication with Assessment Technologies. James is a licensed Senior Property Tax Consultant and is considered an expert throughout Texas in property tax issues relating to the medical and healthcare industries. In addition, James is a member of various professional organizations, including the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) and the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals (TAPTP). James is a 1986 graduate from Texas A & M University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

John A. Pelayo

John A. Pelayo is the Senior Vice President of the AT Tax Advisory division of Assessment Technologies, LTD. The AT Tax Advisory division, formerly the combined Complex Property and Bankruptcy Consulting Practices, focuses on assisting and strategizing with varied clients during the different phases of a restructuring engagement. He is the head of the Property Tax Group specializing in the appeal of large commercial & industrial properties. He oversees a staff that handles the administrative appeals on a multi-state level for an expansive commercial portfolio. John has more than twenty-five years' experience in the ad valorem tax industry and has been associated with the firm for over twenty years. Prior to joining the firm, John was a member of the commercial appraisal staff of the Bexar County Appraisal District. Mr. Pelayo holds the distinguished Certified Commercial Institute Member (CCIM) designation from the CCIM Institute and also is a Certified Member (CMI) of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. John is registered as a Senior Property Tax Consultant by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation and maintains numerous professional memberships, including the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals, the National Association of Realtors, and the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Pelayo is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker and maintains active involvement in all aspects of commercial brokerage. In addition, he serves as a volunteer on the Alumni Schools Committee of the Princeton Club of San Antonio and is a member of the ‘Pillars' Club of Central Catholic High School. John is a graduate of Princeton University in Princeton, NJ, with an A.B. degree in Economics.

John Lammert - EVP

Biography John Lammert is the Executive Vice President of the AT Tax Advisory division of Assessment Technologies, LTD. The AT Tax Advisory division, formerly the combined Complex Property and Bankruptcy Consulting Practices, focuses on assisting and strategizing with varied clients during the different phases of a restructuring engagement. His background is diverse, having worked in various areas of the real estate industry including appraisal, asset management, investments, capital markets, and development. John has overseen the adjusted liabilities of over $200 million in over 450 jurisdictions nationwide for commercial property taxes, business personal property or more complex projects like restructuring. Some of his most notable projects were for such clients as Dura Automotive, ERG Resources, Exide Technologies, Fairpoint Communications, McDermott International, Superior Silica Sands and Winn-Dixie Stores Inc., to name a few. Before joining Assessment Technologies, John was an Executive Director of Real Estate Investments at USAA Real Estate Company managing over $350 million in new construction projects. Some of the companies he serviced were INVESCO Funds Group, Southwestern Bell, Federal Express, Kraft Foods, Inc., AmeriServe Foods, Inc., Sweetheart Cup, Barjan Products and USAA. John played an active role in the acquisition of over $160 million of existing office and industrial projects for USAA. While working at USAA, he was responsible for extensive financial analysis for investments in real estate asset, real estate mortgage loans, stock transitions and capital markets activities for the company while serving as the primary point of contact for USAA's real estate division. Certified by the State of Texas Appraisal Licensing and Certification Board, John is also an active member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and the Senior Residential Appraiser (SRA) designations of the Appraisal Institute. John received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas State University in 1986. He is also a licensed Texas Real Estate Commission Salesman.

Patrick C. Howard - SVP

Patrick C. Howard serves as our Senior Vice President in charge of our West Coast Property Tax Group. He specializes in the appeal of large commercial & industrial properties for larger national clients. Patrick has more than twenty-three years' experience in the ad valorem tax industry and has been associated with Assessment Technologies Ltd for over fourteen-years. Mr. Howard holds the distinguished Certified Commercial Investment Member designation from the CCIM Institute and is also a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. Patrick is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in both Texas and Washington and is also registered as a Senior Property Tax Consultant by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR). He also maintains numerous professional memberships, including the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT), the National Association of Realtors (NAR), and Washington State CCIM Chapter. Mr. Howard has continued his education through various institutions over his career, including several Appraisal Institute courses, as well as, courses from the CCIM Institute, IAAO, IPT, Karrass School of Negotiating, The Columbia Institute, McKissock School of Real Estate, TAAO, TAPTP, and the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M. He is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary with a M. A. in Biblical Studies.
