BERMUDA KNOLL

The story of Bermuda Knoll starts in the mid-1950s when Lloyd and Viola Swartzentruber, a young couple from a coastal Virginia town, moved to middle Georgia in pursuit of a quieter lifestyle and lower cost farmland. With their combined work and effort they started what became Bermuda Knoll Farm. Initially they grew a variety of row crops along with operating a small dairy farm... The pecan business started in the early 70s when Viola started hand picking and selling pecans to various locals and acquaintances, this was a very labor intensive process but to Viola every customer and every pecan was important! Over time, more production and automation was added to meet the demand from the ever growing list of customers who, to Lloyd and Viola, became something of extended family.
