Cushla is an experienced psychologist and psychotherapist who has worked in private practice in the Eastern Suburbs for more than since 2004. She has worked in a private rebab, providing individual psychological consultations and facilitating treatment groups and treatment assessments. Cushla has also worked with Domestic Violence victims and supervised practitioners work in Women's Refuges.
After a career in banking (at Merrill Lynch, Westpac and UBS) it was time for a change and Marc embarked on a course of study at Macquarie University with a view to becoming a psychologist. During this period he undertook the Alcohol and Other Drugs (ODW) Certificate IV at TAFE. Whilst studying, he worked at WHOS (We Help Ourselves), a long term inpatient drug and alcohol treatment center. Following this, he continued with full time work at Foundation House, a drug, alcohol and gambling inpatient treatment center funded by the CIDAF.
After 3 years at both organisations, Marc moved on to a Primary Therapist/Psychologist role at South Pacific Private where he worked for another 4 years before opening his private practice with Cushla Hammond in 2004.
In 2009, Marc undertook further study and completed a PGDip in Psychotherapy with the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy.
