Brad D. Dresher

Christopher K. Jones

Dr. Jones is fellowship-trained in the treatment of sports medicine injuries and disorders of the shoulder. He has a special interest in advanced arthroscopic techniques of the knee, shoulder, and elbow. He is one of the leading surgeons in Southern Colorado who performs advanced cartilage restoration procedures such as autologous cartilage implantation and meniscal transplantation. He is also an expert in performing total shoulder replacement.

Craig A. Yager

Dr. Craig Yager brings his expertise in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine to Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group. His primary focus is open and arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Yager is a native of northeast Missouri and attended the University of Missouri - Columbia as an undergraduate where he graduated cum laude with honors distinction. He then graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas - Wichita. He then went on to receive advanced training by completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the San Diego Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy Fellowship in San Diego, CA. During this year, he assisted in the care of athletes at multiple levels, including the San Diego State Aztecs football team and the San Diego Gulls hockey club, the AHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks NHL hockey club. He also assisted in providing medical coverage for events such as the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament and the PGA tour. He also assisted with local community colleges and high schools. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He excited to continue to pursue his passion of treating athletes in the Colorado Springs community. Dr. Yager is a proud husband and father who enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and son. He enjoys staying physically active, trying new hobbies, and traveling.

Dale Cassidy

Dr. Cassidy is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in conditions affecting the hand and upper extremity, and in orthopedic trauma. Having completed dual fellowships in Orthopedic Trauma and Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, he is uniquely poised to address chronic conditions of the hand, forearm, and elbow-such as arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome-as well as the fractures, tendon lacerations, and crush injuries that come with the active lifestyles of those living in Colorado. Dr. Cassidy obtained a master's degree in business administration prior to pursuing medical school. The lessons from those years have set the foundation for his practice of medicine: he believes that "high value care" is when patients receive the best outcomes at the lowest cost. Similarly, his research focuses on improving the quality of care while reducing costs to patients and the health care system.

Devin Wang Pao

Devin grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved across the country to attend Boston University. She competed internationally with a synchronized skating team, the Haydenettes, while she obtained her bachelor's degree in athletic training. An opportunity with U.S. Figure Skating's Sports Science and Medicine department ultimately brought her to Colorado Springs. Upon graduating from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies, Devin was excited to move back to Colorado Springs and start her career as a physician assistant with Dr. Bron in joint reconstruction. She continues to support U.S. Figure Skating and enjoys yoga, running, and traveling with her husband, Chris, and German Shepard, Kiira.

Dr. Paul Stanton

Dr. Paul Stanton is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with surgical expertise in all aspects of spinal surgery, including minimally invasive techniques and complex reconstructive techniques for the cervical spine, adult spinal deformity, and degenerative scoliosis. During his fellowship training, Dr. Stanton was involved in clinical research, investigating less invasive lateral approaches to the thoracic and lumbar spine for spinal deformity. He has a special interest in minimally invasive reconstructive procedures for adult spinal deformity, and he actively continues his research efforts.

G. Alex Simpson

Colorado Springs native, G. Alex Simpson, DO, is a Board-Certified and Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon with specialized training in the foot and ankle. Being a Springs native, after Dr. Simpson completed his orthopaedic trainings, he wanted to bring his expertise back the place he's always called home and ensure our community has access to the highest quality care possible for any lower extremity injuries. He is an expert in sports injuries including tendon and ligament injury, arthritis care, ankle replacements, deformities, and trauma of the foot and ankle. Dr. Simpson completed his fellowship in complex orthopedic foot and ankle surgery and worked alongside many physicians who have developed the current standards in Total Ankle Replacements.

James M. Bee

Dr. Bee's interests include the full range of spinal disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. Scoliosis, the treatment of degenerative disk diseases, and spinal fractures from osteoporosis are just a few examples of the many conditions Dr. James Bee is highly skilled in.

Jeffry T. Watson

Dr. Watson's clinical interests include adult and pediatric conditions of the upper limb, such as arthritic and post-traumatic reconstruction, microvascular surgery, and treatment of complicated fractures. Dr. Watson joined Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group in April 2013 following 11 fulfilling years as a hand and upper extremity surgeon at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. While at Vanderbilt, he developed and directed separate adult and pediatric brachial plexus programs, which involved early neurosurgical intervention, delayed orthopedic procedures, and nonoperative optimization through therapy.

John C. Redfern

Kristen was born and raised in Uniontown, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate degree at Malone University in Canton, Ohio where she majored in biology and competed in cross country and track. She then attended Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio and completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. After graduation, Kristen worked for a surgical foot and ankle practice before joining Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group, where she is focused on the treatment of orthopedic sports medicine injuries. Kristen and her husband moved to Colorado Springs in the fall of 2014. They thoroughly enjoy many of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, including trail running, biking, backpacking, and rock climbing.

A move from Chicago brought Megan to Colorado Springs Orthopedic Group and a job assisting Dr. Watson and Dr. Cassidy with the hand and upper extremity specialty of orthopedics. She is also passionate about bone health and actively educates patients on how to stay healthy.

Michael J. Huang

Dr. Huang specializes in treating orthopedic sports medicine injuries. His treatments involve both surgical and non-surgical options. If surgery is deemed necessary, he focuses on minimally invasive techniques. In addition, he has a significant interest in alternative therapy treatments. Dr. Michael Huang of Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group (CSOG) recently published a research article that previously had very little study on a pain management procedure conducted in hip surgery. This research conducted by Dr. Huang and his team was possible because of CSOG's multi-discipline orthopaedic setting, a great accomplishment since most research is done in academic settings. With its findings, CSOG will apply pain management in different ways that will provide more benefit to patient care.

Michael Van Manen

Dr. Van Manen is a native of Pueblo Colorado. Following his orthopedic residency training, Dr. Van Manen immediately went into active duty with the US Navy and was stationed in California. He spent 4 years at Navy Hospital Twentynine Palms serving as an orthopedic surgeon taking care of Marines and Sailors. At the end of his tour, he quickly gained leadership roles serving both as Chief of Surgery and Department Head of the General Surgery and Orthopedic Surgical Department. When his military commitment ended, he decided to move back to his hometown of Pueblo, Co to serve his family and friends. Living in the Rocky Mountains, he very much enjoys a very active lifestyle with his wife and kids. He has enjoyed serving his hometown the past four years and has decided to expand his reach by joining the Colorado Springs Orthopedic Group.

Nathan Carpenter

Nathan is a physician assistant specializing in spine surgery and orthopedics. He works with Dr. James Bee. Nathan completed his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with honors. He attended AT Still University in Mesa, Arizona where he completed the Physician Assistant program. Prior to joining CSOG, Nathan worked in Interventional Pain Management, followed by a period of time working with the underserved communities of Pueblo, CO, in Primary and Urgent Care settings. Born and raised in Colorado, Nathan's enjoys spending time with his wife and young son. As a family they can be seen frequenting music festivals, hiking, camping, fishing and all things related to the outdoors.
