Brett Jepson

Brett Jepson, MD, is an experienced, board-certified urologist at CSUA: Union in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has over two decades of experience and specializes in endourology, kidney stone treatment and management, and laparoscopic and da Vinci® robotic surgery of malignant and benign prostate disease. Dr. Jepson graduated from the University of Kansas in Lawrence with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. He went on to complete medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas. Dr. Jepson finished his medical training with an internship and urology residency at Saint Louis University Hospitals in St. Louis, Missouri, where he trained in minimally invasive cancer surgery and endourology. Dr. Jepson began his career in Omaha, Nebraska, where he trained University of Nebraska urology residents in da Vinci robotic procedures and general urology. He is board-certified by the American Board of Urology and is an active member of the American Urology Association. When he's not helping patients, he spends time with his wife and two children and participates in outdoor activities. Gary Bong

With his compassionate approach and excellent surgical expertise, Gary Bong, M.D., is a well-respected member of the CSUA: Woodmen team serving the community of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He specializes in laparoscopic surgeries, including laparoscopic cryotherapy for kidney cancer as well as daVinci® robotic surgery for prostatectomy and cystectomy procedures. Dr. Bong attended medical school at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia. Following graduation, he completed his general surgery internship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina, earning the distinction of being recognized as Intern of the Year. He then stayed at the Medical University of South Carolina to complete his residency training in urology, with an emphasis on minimally invasive oncologic surgery. In addition to work with CSUA: Woodmen, Dr. Bong is the Chief of Robotic Urologic Surgery at St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs. Henry Rosevear

With a distinguished career both in and out of the medical field, Henry Rosevear, MD, has established himself as a respected and well-loved member of the CSUA: Woodmen team serving the community of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Rosevear has excelled in both the clinical as well as the research setting and has a wide skill base in urologic oncology. In addition, he is proficient in laparoscopic and daVinci® robotic surgery. Prior to his medical career, Dr. Rosevear proudly served in the Navy as an officer on board a fast attack submarine, the USS Pittsburgh. During his time in the navy , he served in two deployments to the Persian Gulf, including combat experience as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal for his service and is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Dr. Rosevear completed medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, graduating with both academic and research distinction. He then moved to the University of Iowa in Iowa City, where he completed his general surgery internship as well as his urology residency. In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Rosevear has published over two dozen academic articles and multiple book chapters, mostly about urologic oncology. Hunter Fuentes

Dr. Fuentes grew up in Texas, and after September 11th he joined the United States Navy where he served six years aboard a nuclear submarine with two deployments overseas. Afterward he went back to school to finish his Bachelor's of Science in Microbiology at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with High Honors. He then completed his Medical Degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas where he earned membership in Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism honor societies. Dr. Fuentes completed internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston where he learned from leaders in Urologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Reconstruction, Stones, and Men's Health. He was extensively trained in advanced endoscopy, single site laparoscopy, and robotics and tries to utilize these approaches whenever possible to ease recovery from surgery. Dr. Fuentes finds it important to not only treat his patients but educate them on their disease process so that they can learn ways to prevent future urologic illnesses such as recurring kidney stones. Outside of medicine, Dr. Fuentes enjoys spending time with his wife and two children doing everything the great outdoors has to offer including: hiking, skiing, biking, rafting, and camping. J. Eric Derksen

Eric Derksen, M.D., is an experienced, board-certified urologist at CSUA: Union in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has two decades of experience and specializes in prostate cancer, COX-2 inhibitors, laparoscopic surgery, and da Vinci® robotic surgery. Dr. Derksen graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He worked for a biomedical firm before receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and completed a general surgery internship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). He finished his medical training with a residency in urology at UNC. During his residency, Dr. Derksen trained extensively in da Vinci robotic surgery and complex laparoscopy. He also completed extensive research on prostate cancer and COX-2 inhibitors. Dr. Derksen is board-certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association. James Abram McBride

J. Abram McBride, M.D., is an expert, highly trained board-eligible urologist at CSUA: Union in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has nearly a decade of experience and specializes in vasectomy, microsurgery, vasectomy reversal, reproductive medicine, and male infertility, as well as men's health, sexual dysfunction, and erectile dysfunction. Other areas of his expertise include male prosthetic and reconstructive surgery, Peyronie's disease, male cancer survivorship, male hypogonadism, and da Vinci® robotic and endoscopic surgery. Dr. McBride has a passion for improving men's health, rooted in his own experience with infertility. He's a native of Virginia and served in the Virginia Army National Guard. Dr. McBride spent time overseas during Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. Between tours, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, where he earned membership in Gold Humanism and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies. Jeffrey Ferguson

Jeffrey Ferguson, MD, is a skilled, compassionate, board-certified urologist at CSUA: Union in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has three decades of experience and specializes in kidney cancer, kidney stones, benign and malignant prostate disease, and da Vinci® robotic surgery. Dr. Ferguson is a Wisconsin native. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in biology magna cum laude from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. He then completed his Doctor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, where he graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He is board-certified by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Ferguson completed a urology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he served as chief resident. There, he researched the effects of male hormones on prostate cancer. Dr. Ferguson served as chief of staff in the Memorial Hospital System in Colorado and currently serves as chief of surgery at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and children, fishing, hunting, skiing, and playing tennis. Jeffrey Moody

With a compassionate approach, expert knowledge, and a dedication to providing his patients with the best urology care possible, Jeffrey Moody, MD, is a valued and trusted member of the team serving the community of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He specializes in a wide range of urologic conditions and treatments and brings valuable expertise in different endoscopic and laser techniques. Dr. Moody attended medical school at University of Iowa's Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa. He then completed his residency training in urology at the University of California, Los Angeles, before moving on for additional training in endourology and percutaneous renal surgery at the University of Indiana in Bloomington, Indiana. John Mancini

As part of the team at CSUA: Woodmen, John Mancini, MD, has established himself as a leading urologist in the Colorado Springs, Colorado, area. He is well-versed in a full spectrum of urologic conditions and treatments and has special knowledge in urologic oncology, robotic surgery, and other minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Mancini attended medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating with highest honors. He then completed his residency in urologic surgery as well as a research fellowship in endourology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. During his military career, Dr. Mancini served as an Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter pilot, completing two combat tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal. Richard Walsh III
