Art Curtis

Art Curtis is a Licensed and Certified Massage Therapist who graduated in 2011 from Arizona School of Integrative Studies which was offered in conjunction with College of Lake County. His training and varied work includes massage techniques in: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Repetitive Use Injury work, Prenatal, Hot Stone, Stretching, Graston Techniques, and patient instruction. He is passionate about massage therapy and devoted to helping patients feel their absolute best. He has completed numerous hours above the required hours required for his license, all to gain invaluable experience. He has lived in Lake Co. since 2000 with his lovely wife and son.

Dr. Bruce Bever

Dr. Bruce Bever, DPM is a surgically trained foot and ankle surgeon in Chicago, Illinois. Through the course of his residency training, Dr Bever gained experience in the latest treatments for forefoot and rearfoot surgical procedures, clinical biomechanics, sports medicine, and cutting-edge nerve and soft tissue pain resolution. Dr. Bever was raised on a small island on the west coast of FL, and he credits his upbringing near the ocean and sand to his mild demeanor. He was a professional photographer prior to returning to healthcare in 2011. Dr. Bever is pleased to announce that he is now fully privileged at Amita Saint Joseph Hospital Chicago, as an attending physician and surgeon. He does rounds on in-patients, will perform consults and can schedule surgery cases. and He is able to perform a wide array of podiatric surgical procedures on an outpatient basis, as well as taking call, and seeing inpatients for both medical and surgical podiatric care. Dr Bever completed his undergraduate education at Rochester Institute of Technology, in New York; post baccalaureate course work at National University of Health Sciences, outside of Chicago; and completed his Doctor of Podiatric medicine degree at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He went on to complete a 3-year residency program at Amita St Joseph Hospital of Chicago. While in residency Dr Bever completed rotations in specialties including Orthopedic Surgery, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, and Podiatric Microsurgery and Limb Salvage. She always keeps in mind the movements of each sport and incorporates that into the treatment plan.

Dr. Lisa M. Schoene

Dr. Lisa M. Schoene, a sports medicine specialist, and Certified Athletic Trainer has practiced sports medicine since the 1980s while in college and then again in the early 1990s as a Podiatrist, all in the Chicago land area with Gurnee Podiatry and Sports Medicine Associates. Dr. Schoene has served as the Podiatric consultant for DePaul University's athletic department since 1992 treating the "Blue Demon" athletes from many teams. Dr. Schoene has been practicing in Lake County and Chicago for over 30 years. The practice has grown into a well-rounded conservative Podiatric practice with emphasis on excellent patient care, with very talented and caring medical and office staff. The practice grew from one patient, one doctor and one staff member to a holistic center with Podiatric associates, Physical Therapists, Massage therapists, a Nail technician, Chiropractor, Nurse, medical assistant, and Podiatric medical students. We treat our patients with a variety to treatment options and modalities to fit all types of conditions and patient needs. Our patients have helped us grow over the years and we are proud to continue the tradition for many more years to come. She always keeps in mind the movements of each sport and incorporates that into the treatment plan. Dr. Lisa M. Schoene has worked with all types of athletes since 1991, so she takes a special interest in sports medicine and rehabilitation.

Laura Moore

Laura Moore is a licensed Massage Therapist since 2006. She has 8 years of clinical experience working along side various healthcare professionals, doctors, and other therapists. She specializes in Post-operative and rehabilitative work. Laura works with patients using different neuromuscular and stretching techniques, to assist the body in restoring itself back to its natural state of mobility and good function.

Marla Rivera

Marla Rivera, is a licensed nail technician since 2009. After years of working in government sales, Marla attended and received her license from ABC School of Cosmetology & Nail Technology. She is a Certified Master Shellac Pro and Certified Master Painter through the company Creative Nail Design. In 2018 she became a Certified Master Pedicurist through The North American School of Podology.
