DOWNTOWN LUSAIL

It was in 2005 that the vision for Lusail - a self-sufficient, environmentally sustainable, smart and connected city in the heart of Doha - was first conceived by Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company (Qatari Diar). Deriving its name and inspiration from one of Qatar's rarest flowers, Lusail was envisioned as a model city of the future, at the intersection of Qatar's heritage and its contemporary, urban transformation. Construction for the City commenced in 2008 and has since passed many milestones in bringing the Lusail vision to life.
