Mark L. Rosenblum

Dr. Mark Rosenblum is a highly acclaimed physician, surgeon, researcher, teacher, and executive. Dr. Rosenblum's contributions can be witnessed through his development of multiple, nationally recognized healthcare centers and through the books and peer-reviewed articles he has written. As a physician executive he has a special focus on team building and integration, as well as innovation throughout the continuum of healthcare delivery. Mark L. Rosenblum, MD, currently is Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Neurosurgery in the Henry Ford Health System (HFHS). Originally at UCSF he helped develop their world leading Brain Tumor Research Center, initiated the first brain tumor bank and performed early research on cancer stem cells. In 1984 he founded and for 7 years chaired the Section on Tumors of the AANS and CNS. During his tenure with HFHS, he founded and served as a co-director of the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center, the HFHS Neurosciences Institute, and the Michigan Spine Surgery Improvement Collaborative. He also was one of 4 leaders who built and helped administer a novel, patient-focused Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital where he served as the Vice President of Clinical Programs and the Director of its Center for Healthcare Transformation. Dr. Rosenblum has served on several hospital and industry boards. He presently is on the Boards of NICO and IZI corporations and is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy in the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. Dr. Rosenblum has particular experience with the value of integrated specialty care, including the development of Centers and Institutes, and developing innovative delivery processes "through the eyes of the patient".

patricia williams

Patricia Williams is a healthcare executive with 30 years of international hospital and health services management and consulting experience. Following 18 years as an executive at the international subsidiary of Trinity Health, one of the largest health systems in the U.S. (currently owns and operates over 90 hospitals), Patricia founded Global Health Services Network (GHSN) in 2008 with the goal of making a positive and sustainable impact on patient centered care, quality and efficiency, in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Her work is focused on an integrated approach to planning, development and operations of hospitals aimed at impacting health status by increasing the efficiency and quality of care provided, as well as fostering compassionate service with dignity and respect to the patient served and their families. In 2013, Ms. Williams also founded Global Health Charities (GHC) which works to reduce global maternal and infant mortality and in 2016 she founded the American Nursing Institute - Myanmar, the first private school of nursing in Myanmar. Patricia has worked in more than 30 countries and overseen projects ranging from feasibility studies, hospital planning, capital financing, equipment planning and procurement, hospital development and commissioning, management, training and hospital operations improvement in both the private and public sector. Her experience has included a total of planning and/or management of more than: 4,000 hospital beds 3 billion+ USD in project CAPEX 3 million+ square feet of total planned/designed space over 4,000 individuals trained Originally from Argentina, Patricia was born and raised in Asia and became a U.S. citizen in 2015. She holds a Masters degree in Health Services Administration with a focus on hospital management and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She serves on several boards including The Ethio American Doctors Group Foundation; The American Nursing Institute - Myanmar; the Advisory Board of Danat Al Emarat Hospital, UAE; Global Health Charities, and Here 4 U an organization which supports the needs of children with medically complex conditions. In 2018, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce appointed Patricia to the Eastern Michigan District Export Council (DEC) for a four (4) year term. Additionally, Ms. Williams was appointed by the president of the International Hospital Federation (IHF) to the working group for "Reducing hospital operational costs through better design."

Simon spent 17 years at Marriott Hotels & Resorts and is widely known as an influential leader in the hospitality industry. His leadership was instrumental in the globalization of Marriott's operations ushering in an exciting chapter of growth. Since taking the helm in 2010 as President & Managing Director Marriott Asia Pacific, Simon led the operating performance and growth of Asia Pacific which included more than 173 properties and 70 hotels under construction represented by The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott, Renaissance, Courtyard and Marriott Executive Apartments brands. Prior to his role in Asia Pacific, Simon was President and Chief Operating Officer for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. Under his leadership, the brand realized significant growth and initiated new products: The Ritz-Carlton Residences and The Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Also during this period of time, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company earned the highest accolades from organizations such as The Luxury Institute and J. D Power and Associates. In 2009, Ritz-Carlton won the World Saver Award from Conde Nast for its Community Footprints program. Simon joined Marriott International in 1998 as President of Marriott Lodging Canada. Prior to joining Marriott, Simon served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Delta Hotels and Resorts, and as Executive Vice President of OMNI Hotels USA. Simon has been a very active leader in industry and public service. He recently taught an MBA course in Global Leadership at the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. In 2008, Simon was named "Corporate Hotelier of the World" by HOTELS magazine. The award determined by votes cast by more than 60,000 readers in 170 countries. Among his many professional honors, Simon has served as Chairman of the Board of Governors for the University of Guelph, Trustee of the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Motel Association, Director of the Canadian Tourism Commission. He served on the Board of Directors of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. In 2004, he was appointed to the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Canada Institute Advisory Board. From 2006 to 2010, Simon served on the Board of First Horizon National (First Tennessee Bank). Simon is presently lead consultant to many hospitality projects in the USA and abroad.
