Dr. Deepa Koshti

Dr. Deepa Koshti grew up in Orlando, Florida but has called Houston, Texas home since the age of 13. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology, MBA with concentration in Health Organization Management and attended Medical School. She moved back to Houston to complete her Internal Medicine Residency at UTHSC McGovern Medical School. She went on to complete her Nephrology Fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. In her spare time Dr. Koshti enjoys gardening, cheering on the Texas Tech Red Raiders, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Neil Sutaria

Dr. Neil Sutaria was born in Plainfield, NJ but has called Houston home since the age of 10. He attended the University of Houston, obtaining a B.S. in Biochemistry and graduating Summa Cum Laude. He attended medical school at St. George's University through which, he completed training in the United Kingdom, West Indies, and New York City. He went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at Stony Brook University at Mather Hospital in Long Island, NY. Returning home to Houston, he completed his fellowship training in Nephrology and Hypertension at the world-renowned Houston Methodist Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College where he received the inaugural Community Scholar Award for his commitment to outstanding patient care. Dr. Sutaria is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Houston Renal Group, operating since 2019. During his spare time, Dr. Sutaria loves playing basketball, testing out the latest technology, and spending quality time with his wife, Shikha.

Laura Overton

Laura Overton is a Louisiana native from the small town of Moss Bluff where she attended Sam Houston High School. In 5 th grade she remembers telling her mom she would one day be a nurse like her grandmother. She has been in the medical field for 20 years working her way up from unit secretary, tech, transcriptionist, Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse to Nurse Practitioner. She attended McNeese State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. Her nursing career entails work in ICU ,ER, PACU, and med-surg/telemetry. She moved to Kingwood, Texas in 2011 and worked in the IMU/ICU at Memorial Hermann Northeast and Memorial Hermann Woodlands. She has also worked for The Center for Advanced Heart Failure and Houston Methodist. She returned to school in 2016 for her Master of Science in Family Practice and completed it in 2018 after the birth of her child later in 2016. She returned to school in 2017 where she completed her Masters in Nursing Education from Grand Canyon University, followed by completion of her Family Nurse Practitioner Degree in 2018. In 2020 she completed her post-master's certification in Adult Geriatrics Acute Care Practice. She began practicing in 2019 as a home health nurse practitioner and hospitalist. She loves her job and takes great pride in being a part of such a special profession. In her spare time, Laura enjoys reading, crocheting, spending time with her family and friends and gardening.

Sarah Macalino

Sarah Macalino is a Houston native and attended Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions at Texas Medical Center. She then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2013. She returned back home to Houston and began her nursing career in critical care in the ICU at Ben Taub General Hospital and Memorial Hermann Hospital TMC. Sarah completed her Masters of Science at Texas Woman's University in 2018 and began working as an acute care nurse practitioner at Houston Methodist Hospital in the ICU. Sarah brings a unique perspective to Houston Renal Group and is passionate about patient care. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys going to the gym, socializing, and making new friends.
