Aaron Van Hook-Drucker is a certified physician assistant specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He supports our pain management doctors in Neurosurgery One's Littleton office. Aaron treats musculoskeletal pain, specializing in spine. From his background, a bachelor's degree in Health & Exercise Science concentrating in Sports Medicine and a master's degree in Medical Science, Aaron takes a well rounded approach and is happy to utilize non-invasive procedures. He believes using conservative treatments like physical therapy, acupuncture, trigger point injections, and steroid injections can be critical to treating pain. Aaron sees these treatments as a way to reset the dysfunctions created in our brains as a result of trauma, and finds they often prevent or delay the need for surgical intervention.

Dr. VanSickle performs this procedure using robotic assistance and achieves results that are well above national averages.

He offers patients comprehensive treatment options for trigeminal neuralgia not controlled by medication, including stereotactic radiosurgery. Kelly Mowrey is a neurosurgery nurse practitioner specializing in the acute, inpatient management of patients with neurosurgical conditions. She also is the Advanced Practice Provider Supervisor for Neurosurgery One's nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Before joining Neurosurgery One, Kelly worked in pulmonary medicine at National Jewish Health for 14 years. In this role, Kelly managed acute and chronic pulmonary conditions for patients with traumatic brain and spinal cord injury at the world-renowned Craig Hospital. Additionally, she managed chronic respiratory failure in patients with ALS at the Colorado Neurological Institute and was a spinal cord injury nurse practitioner and registered nurse at Craig Hospital.
Kelly has co-authored a chapter on the nursing management of spinal cord injured patients in a prominent Neurotrauma textbook and published an article regarding evaluating acute abdomen in a spinal cord injured patient in a neuroscience nursing journal.
Kelly graduated with high honors from the University of Colorado School of Nursing in 2005 with a Master's degree in nursing and an Adult Nurse Practitioner degree. Katie Kalamula was born and raised in Lone Tree, Colorado. She earned her bachelor's degree in Integrative Physiology with a certificate in Neuroscience from University of Colorado at Boulder. After college, she spent two years working as a clinical assistant in the pediatric ICU at Children's Hospital where she realized her passion for acute care and surgical medicine. Katie received her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Arcadia University in Christiana, Delaware. She graduated with distinction and is a member of Pi Alpha - The National Honor Society. After returning from the east coast, Katie worked in interventional pain management for one year gaining experience in the comprehensive management of patients with spine disorders. In her free time, she enjoys fitness classes, being outdoors and spending time with her dogs and family.
Nick Agvent completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Hartford and his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Stony Brook School of Health Technology and Management. Nick is originally from Connecticut. He assists Dr. Lloyd Mobley in the Lone Tree clinic and assists him in surgery at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital. When he's not assisting in the practice of orthopedic surgery, Nick enjoys both playing and watching various sports, including baseball, basketball and football.
Tess O'Brien grew up in Madison, Wisc., as the youngest of four. She attended Marquette University for her undergraduate Biomedical Sciences degree and her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies degree. She graduated in 2017 and soon began working with a busy independent neurosurgery practice in Milwaukee. She worked in both the inpatient and outpatient setting and grew to love being in the operating room, as well as following a patient's care from start to finish. She has regularly visited Colorado and finally made the move from the Midwest to enjoy the sunshine, mountains and all that Colorado has to offer.
