Dr. Dean Garfield is Johnson Dental's dental implant specialist.
He was born in Ogden, Utah and has lived in Utah, Colorado, Washington, Virginia and two years in Australia. He attended Bingham Young University where he majored in Zoology. In 1992 Dr. Garfield attended Medical college of Virginia and graduated in 1996 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Garfield has practiced in Tucson, Leesburg and Richmond, Virginia as a general dentist for nearly thirty years.
Dean has been married for 31 years and has six children: three boys and three girls. In his free time he enjoys skiing, bicycling, hiking and the great outdoors. Dr. Garfield would love to help and serve you for your dental needs. He is an accomplished dental surgeon and has changed the lives of dozens of patients through the installation of dental implants.
Dr. Richard Johnson is a 1996 graduate of the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. After graduation Dr. Johnson and his wife moved to Tucson and started his private practice in Tucson and then eventually Green Valley.
Dr Johnson has three children that keep him busy, but when he does get a little extra time he enjoys golfing, skiing, cycling and photography. Dr Johnson is also very active with the Boy Scouts of America and Flying Samaritans of Arizona.
Dr. Stephanie Vidoni-Hartung joined the Johnson Dental team in September 2019. She specializes in general dentistry for all ages along with cosmetic dentistry utilizing Invisalign and Six Month Smiles.
Dr. Hartung has lived in Tucson since 1997 and has been practicing dentistry here for about 25 years. She received her Doctor of Dentistry from the University of Illinois Chicago and followed that up with Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the Lutheran Medical Center/El Rio Health Clinic.
Eli Perez has been practicing dental hygiene for over 20 years, and still loves his profession. He can honestly say he enjoys coming to work. Eli graduated in 1997 from dental hygiene school, were he received the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award, which is given to the best clinician of the graduating class. Eli also has his Western Regional Dental Hygiene License, Certificate for Administration of Local Anesthesia, and Laser Certification.
Mr. Perez has a desire to honor our veterans. As he practiced dental hygiene in Green Valley since the year 2000 he noticed that much of our population has served or has immediate family that has served in the United States Armed Forces. The sacrifices they and their families have made for our freedom has had a great impact in Eli's life. "I will forever be thankful for what they have done and will do my best to honor every one of them with a sincere heart," Elis says. He continues, "To all of our veterans and current men and women serving for our freedom, THANK YOU."
Eli has been happily married to Denise since 1999; she is the love of his live. God has blessed them with four children; Elianette, Evelynn, and our twins Natanael and Eileen. The family loves spending time together by serving the Lord Jesus Christ in their local church. When not serving at church the Perez's like to go camping, hiking, fishing, family nights, playing soccer, and the girls like going to the mall.
Eli, Kathy, Angela, Denise, Melynda and Yadi comprise the hygienist team. Eli has been providing preventive dentistry for more than twenty-five years in Green Valley. We were very excited to be able to bring Kathy onto our team in 2018 and equally excited when Angela joined in 2019, Denise in 2020 along with Melynda and Yadi in 2023. You will find all of hygienists to be great people-persons who provide first class hygiene services.
