KELSEY YEH

I'm a researcher based in Seattle, Washington, currently attending graduate school at the University of Washington studying Human-Centered Design and Engineering. I love learning, exercising my creative muscles, and helping people by solving problems. Originally from LA, I previously worked as a professional flutist and pastry chef. (That's the short version, for the longer version scroll down!)... My love for research began when I took an 8am anthropology class my first semester of college as an undergraduate. While I never took another 8am class again (what was I thinking?), I fell in love with anthropology and continued my studies by minoring in it. My major was music performance, and I strongly considered continuing with my love for research by going to graduate school and studying ethnomusicology, but my love for performing (and the greater job opportunities for musicians as opposed to ethnomusicologists) lead me to continue as a musician instead of a researcher...
