Kincardine Castle was built by Louisa's great great grandmother in 1894 to replace a rather more sensibly sized house. It has remained in the family ever since. As well as a food business, the castle is now a venue for exclusive-use events such as weddings and parties... Kincardine Castle is located in arguably the most beautiful part of the country, Royal Deeside. Overlooking the village of Kincardine O'Neil and the famous River Dee it is a long way from the nearest motorway. Kincardine O'Neil grew as a crossing on the river, initially a ford, later a bridge, hosting travellers and visitors has taken place for generations here. Word soon spread about the quality of the local ingredients and the skill of the chefs and Kincardine Castle grew to become a popular destination in its own right. Keeping to traditional recipes and methods has served us well... At Kincardine Castle Kitchen we strive to make the finest baking and preserves, which we sell through independent food retailers.
