Cheryl has extensive experience in program development, project management, emergency medical services education, emergency management operations and planning, and public health administration. She holds a BS in biology from Fairfield University, and a MS in public health administration from Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Kathlene Tracy is a Clinical Psychologist within the Mental Health and Wellness Program and leads Psychotherapy Development at Yale School of Medicine (YSM) and Mental Health and Counseling (MHC)-Yale Health. Dr. Tracy has over three decades of experience developing and delivering addiction and psychiatric treatments while in joint clinical and research positions at academic institutions and affiliated treatment settings leading services within inpatient, outpatient, and community settings within the mental health field. Because of her expertise in measurement, design, training, and behavioral treatments, Dr. Tracy has been an active national committee member of the NIDA MDRU's Clinical Methods Committee and Psychosocial Treatments Committee and the NIDA CTN Assessment and Measures Committee and Training Subcommittee as well as a valued merit grant reviewer for several PCORI and NIH/NIDA initiatives. Dr. Tracy has additional proficiency in mental health evidenced based treatment development and translation into practice and has been an invited reviewer of the SAMHSA grant delivery structure, in addition to, Treatment Improvement Projects (TIP) for developing national guidelines. Within institutions, she has been active on local committees to safeguard the protection of subjects in research trials, ensure quality research methodology, and promote psychosocial rehabilitation clinical services. Dr. Tracy has a longstanding interest in providing state of the art quality care and has received Stage I and Stage II behavioral therapies development funding from multiple sources including NIDA and NIAAA as well as funding from federal/state agencies. Dr. Tracy looks forward to applying these skills in continued efforts to improve the wellness and wellbeing of others.

Hani Mowafi, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor, Chief of the Section of Global Health in the Department of Emergency Medicine and he serves as the Director of the Yale-London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Fellowship in Global Health and International Emergency Medicine. Dr. Mowafi's work focuses on developing the science and practice of emergency care with emphasis on low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where the burden of emergency conditions is highest and where there is a large unmet need for emergency care. Internationally known for his work on emergency and trauma care in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), Dr. Mowafi has extensive experience conducting training, research, and program development in the Middle East and Africa. He has served as an expert consultant for the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees, the World Bank and the World Health Organization where he is currently an Emergency Care Consultant for the WHO's Global Emergency and Trauma Care Initiative. He is the Co-Director of the NIH-funded Middle East and North Africa Program for Advanced Injury Research (MENA PAIR) - a partnership between Yale University and the American University of Beirut. Dr. Mowafi has served on scientific review panels for both global injury and humanitarian research including the National Institutes of Health Research (UK), and Research for Health in Humanitarian Crises (UK). He serves as the Associate Editor for Trauma for BMC Emergency Medicine.Dr. Mowafi's research interests are assessing the health burden and impacts of trauma and injury in LMICs; health and human security in humanitarian emergencies; and developing metrics for global emergency care. Dr. Mowafi has a long track record mentoring junior investigators and practitioners in global health careers including trainees in the United States, East Africa and the Middle East.Dr. Mowafi has been recognized for his leadership and serves on the International Committee of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), previously as the Chair of the ACEP International Section, and Chair of the of the Global Emergency Medicine Fellowship Consortium. In 2017 he was awarded the Humanitarian Service Award from the Global Emergency Medicine Academy of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine in recognition of his work studying and mitigating the impacts of humanitarian crises around the world.

Sundari has worked in diverse clinical settings (outpatient substance use treatment, primary care, women's health care, higher education) and has developed strong interprofessional communication skills through her work with first- and second-year medical students at UConn Health/Connecticut Area Health Education Center. A registered yoga teacher and mindfulness facilitator, Sundari specializes in mindfulness-based interventions for stress and anxiety. She has a particular interest in the equitable delivery of wellness services to all and is passionate about working with individuals with disabilities.
