It was a lightning bolt moment that drew me to become a mediator. Early on in my professional life, as a Children and Families Counselor in the abuse and neglect system, I experienced mediation for the first time. I was immediately taken with it, as I saw people making progress through very difficult circumstances due to the power of people talking, guided by a mediator. I knew then that I would one day do this work, and in January of 1999, that became a reality. I am passionate about the well-being of children and their families. My practice primarily focuses on parenting time following divorce or separation, as well as private dependency (child abuse and neglect) cases. As a former social worker and teacher, I also work to resolve employee and agency conflicts in social service and educational agency contexts, as I understand the missions of these organizations and how to connect with the people who work toward them.
