Craig Pouliot

Craig Pouliot brings 20 years of experience guiding business leaders to drive increased value through an efficient financial foundation. He specializes in rebuilding the financial infrastructure to achieve timely, accurate, and insightful information for companies ranging from pre-revenue to billion dollar public organizations working directly for the CFO and CEO. Key components of the financial infrastructure completed during the rebuilding phase have been: creating and automating internal management reporting, standardizing and systematizing external reporting packages for banks and Board of Directors, KPI creation, and long range / strategic planning. Craig has been instrumental in raising equity, rightsizing organizations, as well as working with Wall Street Analysts during the IPO process. He holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Franklin Pierce University and led the San Diego State University Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) team while completing his MBA.

Drew Murphy

Drew Murphy brings 15 years of experience across accounting, finance, and business intelligence. He specializes in helping companies grow their top and bottom-line by framing the performance story, and connecting it to everyday business drivers. This helps companies understand where they are today, how they got there, and what proactive decisions they can make to achieve future targets. Specific topics covered in performance stories include: annual recurring revenue (ARR), customer profitability, life-time value (LTV), whitespace, foreign exchange, EBITDA, and cost-plus pricing. Drew takes simple approaches to problem solving and builds strong foundations that scale as companies grow in size and complexity. He is passionate about raising the games of others. Before consulting, Drew was a Finance Director at Mimecast where he helped with IPO readiness and building out their financial planning team. He also worked at Vistaprint and Procter & Gamble. He received his MBA from Northeastern University and his bachelor's degree in Accounting from Merrimack College.

Jim Benninger

Jim Benninger is a creative and collaborative senior credit risk professional with a wide variety of financial services/credit experience. Working since the 1980s, Mr. Benninger has a specialty in developing and implementing strategies for banks dealing with financially troubled clients.

Joe Picano - Managing Director

Joe has over 30 years experience working with privately-held businesses as either a consultant or investment banker. As a consultant, he specializes in turning around troubled operating compa nies from those suffering declining financial performance, to ones that have al ready failed. He has a unique combination of skills that allow him to analyze the company, collaboratively implement operational change with client management, determine the cash flow impact, and discuss the forecast results with bankers and other key client creditors. Owners like working with Joe because he thinks like they do, but has a deep understanding of the lender's position. For the last ten years, Joe has applied these skills to companies that either needed, or sought transactions for which they were unprepared. In several instances, Joe has taken clients from "troubled through transacted," getting results unimaginable at the time of engagement. Mr. Picano has been an owner/operator throughout the last 25 years (including here at MidMarket Management Group), and has a significant reputation in the banking community for solving troubled situations. Before consulting, Joe was a Manufacturing Engineer at Textron Defense Systems. Mr. Picano received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Union College, and an MBA with a concentration in Operations, from Boston University.

Ken Mooney

Ken Mooney has over thirty-five years of developing and implementing solutions in underperforming and crisis management situations through a wide variety of industries and different business models. He has a proven ability to construct unique strategic, operational, financial and capital solutions for operating companies. Additional capabilities include strategic planning, liquidity management, business restructuring, and stakeholder communications. Mr. Mooney served as Chief Credit Officer of State Street Corp, and head of workout at two large banks managing multi-million-dollar troubled assets, and specializing in working with line lenders for optimum outcomes. He has also been President of two start-ups; Applied Materials Science, a manufacturer of specialty metals, and Fundation, Inc., a digitally-enabled lender. Mr. Mooney's advisory background includes roles with private equity firms Seguin Partners and InfoCommerce Capital Partners, as well as operating companies, CFO Publishing, and Community Capital Technology. Mr. Mooney received Bachelor of Science and MBA degrees from Suffolk University.

Morton L. Hodin - Managing Director

Morton L. Hodin, co-founder of MidMarket Mangement Group and IB Predecessor Hodin Associates (Lexbridge), has over 40 years of entrepreneurial experience in technology, publishing, marketing, real estate and investment banking. In 1989, Mr. Hodin founded Hodin Associates, Inc., which successfully provided Investment Banking Services to emerging, privately held businesses. Lexbridge, founded in 1997, was the result of the evolution of this original investment banking business. During that period, he helped hundreds of companies and has lectured throughout the world in the area of the sale and succession of private companies. Prior to investment banking, Mr. Hodin has been active in the Boston business community. Mr. Hodin was President of Data Technology, Inc., a developer and producer of control systems in the aerospace and CAD/CAM marketplace. He successfully negotiated the sale of that company to the Bunker Ramo, Inc. In publishing, Mr. Hodin was a principal of SEE, Inc. a publisher of innovative math and science materials, whose customers were over 5,000 U.S. school districts. He also founded Resources Communications, Inc. (RCI), a publisher of multimedia continuing education materials for professionals, including select programs of the Harvard Medical School. RCI was also the largest distributor in New England of management training media. Simon and Schuster acquired the multi-media intellectual property of RCI. In Real Estate, as a principal of H&D Development, Mr. Hodin developed land, commercial projects and residential properties. The Boston Preservation Alliance 1989 Preservation Award was presented to H&D for the redevelopment of Clarendon Square. Mr. Hodin holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Advanced Engineering Studies (Master Equivalent) certificate from Cornell University. With Lexbridge Mr. Hodin was a Registered Securities Principal with the National Association of Securities Dealers (now FINRA).

Ryan Helenius

Ryan graduated from Saint Anselm College with a degree in Economics in 2001. He is a proven finance leader and change agent with 20 years of progressive experience across a broad set of finance roles. His experience ranges from over a decade with Thermo Fisher Scientific, to establishing an FP&A function at a private equity-owned company in the event rental industry. He has worked in various other industries including: software, information management, private equity and wealth management, telecom and senior living. Throughout his career, he has been driving needling-moving finance transformation though major initiatives, and continuous improvement across people, process and systems. Ryan shifted from a permanent role as Finance Director to consulting in 2018. This proved to be a perfect fit for his strengths in efficiently creating high-value results for clients. With this goal in focus, he launched Boston Finance Transformation in 2019.

Will Dewey

Will brings a unique blend of lending, credit, operating company, asset and investment management experience that renders a different and balanced perspective to business challenges. He is the founder of W.C. Asset Management, LLC which provides investors and financial institutions with transparent and tailored private credit and asset management solutions. Prior to starting WCAM, Will served as the Asset Manager, Private Investments for London based Hedge Fund Manger, Cambridge Place Investment Management. He joined CPIM in 2006, and was initially responsible for the management of CPIM's U.S. private debt and equity investments. In that capacity, Will represented CPIM's interest on the Boards of companies including those engaged in Equipment Finance, Sub-Prime Auto, Dealer Floorplan Finance, and Credit Cards. He advised portfolio companies on capital formation, strategic planning, financing, credit, and asset servicing strategies. During the Great Recession, his role expanded to include global responsibility for CPIM's private debt and equity portfolio, with emphasis on restructuring and asset realization. Will also assumed primary relationship responsibility for CPIM's advisory and valuation business, including management of a $500 million U.S. Residential Mortgage Portfolio. He also took an active role in the formation and operational start-up of a specialty consumer finance company in the UK Before joining CPIM, Will held several senior risk management and credit approval positions at State Street Bank. He was Risk Manager for the Structured Products Group, and subsequently served as a Senior Credit Approver with broad authority and primary oversight over the Bank's four asset-backed commercial paper conduits, insurance credit services, and global treasury portfolio. He also oversaw a team of Credit Analysts focused on Insurance and Broker-Dealer counterparties, and previously held State Street positions as Manager of Loan Workouts, and as a Relationship Manager in Corporate Banking. Sandwiched between jobs at State Street, Will was the CFO of a value-added seafood processor from 2001 - 2003. He has over 10 years of Commercial Banking experience and received his initial commercial credit training at Shawmut Bank. Will received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bates College.
